On Deck Preview: Top Prospect Games

A consolidation of what was once named the ENY,CNY and WNY All-Star Games has now become the Top Prospect Games in Cortland, NY. The Gutchess Lumber complex consists of two back-to-back fully turfed and lighted fields in Cortland, NY, providing ultimate functionality over the course of two days.
NOTE: Molded cleats (rubber) or turfs only. No Metal spikes, sunflower seeds or colored sport drinks on the turf.

Session I / September 21st (AM)
Dan Davis 1B / LHP / West Genesee, NY / 2021Physical 1B who hits from the right side with pop and sits upper 70's as a LHP on the bump.

Diego Jimenez C / OF / Monroe-Woodbury, NY / 2021Athletic C/OF with some raw ability; has shown offensive potential at two events this past summer. Looking forward to seeing his progress.

Jacob LaDuca SS / 2B / Canisius, NY / 2021Athletic MIF with an inside-out swing path that produces line drive contact. Quick release/transfer with developing arm strength.

Zachary Marrone 1B / 3B / Mamaroneck, NY / 2021Solid frame at 6-foot-2 190 pounds; natural lift in swing path. Balanced in the box. Power potential is there (90 MPH exit velo).

Michael Callan Moss 1B / 3B / Berkeley Carroll, NY / 2021Had a tremendous BP at St. John's Campus Series back in July. Strong 6-foot-1 190 pound build from the RHH from NYC who shows some juice from the middle of the field to his pull side.

Dominick Porto OF / RHP / Penfield, NY / 2021Wiry, athletic build with some quick twitch actions at the plate. Showed short swing path at St. Bonaventure event in July.

Panos Sinis C / Fox Lane, NY / 2022Accurate arm behind the plate with a clean exchange. Sprays the ball around from the left side. As he physically gets stronger expect him to open eyes along the way. Looking forward to seeing him back in front of us.

Alexander Touloupas SS / 2B / Webster Schroeder, NY / 2021Lean build at 5-foot-7 125 pounds but covers the zone with a short, line drive stroke. Active defender with a quick first step & release.

Tyler Walton C / 2B / Niagara Wheatfield, NY / 2021Flat path approach in the box with balance. Quick footwork and exchange behind the dish with an accurate arm. Excited to see his progress.

Session II / September 21st (PM)
Nicholas Badillo C / 3B / Lakeland , NY / 2022One of the top backstops in the 2022 class Badillo has shown an above average arm and pop to his pull side.

Brandon Biggane C / RHP / Columbia, NY / 2021Thoroughly impressed the staff early on in June with a solid all-around effort at the Academic Games; accurate arm and contact approach at the plate that also flashed some pop to the gaps.

Tyler Blake 1B / LHP / Cortland , NY / 2022Long limbed LHH 1B and P. Easy efforts in the box with a frame and swing path that will provided power over the long term. Efficient around the bag at 1B. Long and loose with arm action on the mound, up to 78 MPH this past August but will be a prospect who adds easy velo over time.

Christian Brown 3B / 1B / Troy , NY / 2021Solid frame RHH who is no stranger to the PBR system. Steady glove and agile for build. Has some serious juice and could lose a few balls during BP this weekend.

Dominic Guccia OF / RHP / Union-Endicott , NY / 2021RHH has shown solid at-bats during live scenarios; doubles type pop now but will develop more (92 Exit velo). Enough arm to stay in the OF at 82 MPH. Proportional build at 5-foot-10 180 pounds.

Brent Isaacs SS / 3B / Whitney Point , NY / 2021Consistent offensive production from Isaacs over the years; controlled in the box and the power is starting to show through. Steady defender who may project at 2B/3B.

Luke Barone RHP / 1B / Monroe-Woodbury, NY / 2021Well put together 5-foot-11 190 pounds with a sweeping swing path through the zone; can hammer the ball to the pulls side. Was up to 79 MPH on the mound back in February during preseason event.

Brody Bartenstein C / RHP / Corning , NY / 2021Wiry build for the RHH catcher who showed an accurate arm from behind the dish at the NYS Games back in June. Looking forward to having him back in front of our eyes once again.

Nicholas Mahar 2B / 3B / Guilderland, NY / 2022The LHH infielder repeats his swing with efficiency; plenty of line drive results. Steady defender at 3B that could project there or at 2B.

Frank Mondrone RHP / 1B / Iona Prep, NY / 2021Solid 6-foot-2 215 pound build for righty. Long arm swing with a 3/4 slot that was up to 82 MPH back in early June.

Max Haberman 2B / SS / Briarcliff Manor, NY / 2021Scrappy RHH with a quick middle-in swing path. Appeared at ease up the middle during early June workout.

Derek Hotzler C / 1B / Cobleskill-Richmondville, NY / 2021Big target behind the dish at 6-foot-2 190 pounds; the RHH showed power potential back in early July. Throws stay on line with a clean exchange.

Richard Kershow C / 3B / Northport, NY / 2022The switch hitting catcher has shown steady development both at the plate and behind the dish over several events attended. Balanced with a mirrored approach from both sides of the plate; arm is accurate.

Jake Lukasiewicz 1B / Cicero North Syracuse, NY / 2022Massive build at 6-foot-4 205 pounds for the LHH. Showed some bat speed back in early August with pull side power on the way.

Julian Ventura 3B / RHP / Dobbs Ferry , NY / 2021RHH with a balanced approach; solid with the glove at 3B with an arm that held it's carry. Will also throw from the mound this weekend.

Matthew Jung RHP / 1B / Maple Hill , NY / 2021Jung impressed a few times this summer in front of our staff at various tournaments and events. Strike thrower that works 78-80 MPH from a high 3/4 slot.

Irving Monegro OF / RHP / St. Raymond's, NY / 2022Physical 6-foot-1 190 pound RHH with easy effort, top spin line drives in the box. Arm is accurate in the OF, has been up to 81 MPH on the mound.

Luke Nascimento C / 3B / Iona Prep, NY / 2022Proportional build for the RHH who works the middle of the field with line drives. Quick feet and exchange with and accurate arm. Slightly above average arm strength for his age.

Nick Pappas SS / RHP / Carmel, NY / 2021MIF who covers the plate and works a bit of an inside-out approach at the plate. Suitable defender up the middle who will also pitch this weekend.

Evan Yandricha C / 3B / Iroquois , NY / 2021RHH catcher that impressed in one of our summer scout blogs. Showed athleticismbehind the plate and ability to hit the gaps at the dish.

Sturdy 5-foot-11 195 pound frame with a swing that gets on plane early on. Las t saw in February; has raw tools behind the dish that will play at the next level with continued refinement.

Logan Haskell SS / 2B / Susquehanna Valley , NY / 2021Athletic MIF with extra base potential once he steps in the box. Showed above average barrel control at the NYS Games; steady defender with an arm that plays from the left side.

Nick Jessen LHP / 1B / West Genesee , NY / 2021Ideal pitcher's build at 6-foot-1 170 pounds for the Syracuse area Southpaw. Repeatable deliver, hides the ball well with a low 3/4 slot. Up to 78 MPH in late July. More in the tank.

Anthony Lapine SS / RHP / Liverpool, NY / 2021Intruguing MIF/RHP with a lean 5-foot-11 145 pound build. Simple, direct swing path to the ball with a quick release up the middle. On the mound he's been very consistent in the 79-82 MPH range the last 6-7 months.

Griffin Snyder RHP / 1B / St. Josephs Collegiate Institute , NY / 2021Solid 6-foot-3 205 pound RHH who can drive the ball to his pull side. Handles himself well around the bag. Was up to 78 MPH in early June with a short arm stroke and 12-6 CB.

Blake Uribe 1B / RHP / Oswego , NY / 2023Young player with some offensive potential as demonstrated at the Jr. NYS Games this past July. Was up to 76 MPH on the mound back on July 2nd.

Aidan Clatur 2B / RHP / Warwick Valley, NY / 2021The RHH features a short, compact stroke with a middle of the field approach. Serviceable up the middle or at 3B; will also throw from the mound. Was 78-79 back in June at the NYS Games.

Frankie DeMaro SS / RHP / John S Burke Catholic , NY / 2021Lean, athletic build for the RHH who covers the plate. Shows lateral range with multiple arm angles and can make the play on the move. .

Adam Marsh 1B / OF / Liverpool, NY / 2021Impressive frame at 6-foot-2 180 pounds has shown a strong arm from both the OF and INF. Spring loads his timing with explosiveness through the zone. Versatile player that could project as corner OF or at 1B.

Chris McKeon RHP / 1B / Mahopac , NY / 2022Ideal pitcher's build with room for additional mass at 6-foot-2 165 pounds. Long arm swing with action to his FB at 80-82 MPH; feel for multiple secondary offerings.

Michael Bowler RHP / OF / Geneva, NY / 2021Bowler is a lean, athletic 6-foot-1 165 pounder who can cover the plate and work the ball to all fields with a loose effort. Needs some polish in the OF but has plenty of arm. On the mound he features a moderate arm swing from a high 3/4 slot with intent; up to 82 MPH this past August.

Ryan Cook 1B / RHP / Whitesboro, NY / 2022Cook is filling big shoes left behind by his 6-foot-6 older brother and St. John's commit, Avery. Already 6-foot-3 175 pounds the RHH features an aggressive approach with the bat and will develop power. Was mid 70's on the mound in February but should be better this time around. Intriguing follow.

Jack Laughlin OF / RHP / Walter Panas , NY / 2021The LHH OF/P attacks the ball in the box; showing zone acceleration. Can handle 3B as well and will throw from the mound this weekend. Intriguing player who has a feel for multiple facets of the game.

Chase Playfair RHP / 3B / Penfield, NY / 2022One of several exciting 2022 grads that will be in attendance this weekend. Lean 6-foot-0 148 pound frame that works from and uptempo pace. Was up to 81 MPH this past summer at the NY Games.

Ralphie Pulitano SS / 3B / Archbishop Stepinac , NY / 2022Solid 5-foot-11 185 pound LHH with a short explosive swing; flashing some pull side juice. Glove plays well from the left side, could project at any INF position with continued progress.

Jack Hopko 1B / OF / Maine-Endwell, NY / 2022A 2022 grad who plays the game above his years. Athletic 1B who features a strong offensive skill set. Also solid in the OF with an arm that holds it's carry.

Brandon Peterson SS / OF / Thomas R Proctor , NY / 2022A standout this past preseason, the LHH works the ball around the whole filed with line drive results; athletic defender who will stick at the left side of the field. Will also take to the mound, was up to 79 MPH prior to his freshman season.

Keldrin Rodriguez 3B / OF / Mount St. Michael's, NY / 2022High-waisted 6-foot-1 160 pound for the LHH who can handle the INF and OF. Fast bat into the zone with some pureness to his swing. Excited to see him after a full summer of development.

Owen Stewart RHP / C / Elmira Notre Dame, NY / 2022Multi-talented player who will be on the mound and assist behind the plate during his game. Lean athleticism at 5-foot-11 135 pounds who was up 78 MPH on the bump in February prior to his freshman season.

Dylan Tierney SS / 2B / Columbia, NY / 20216-foot-1 170 pound left side defender with an easy effort swing path; two handed finish with some developing pop. Glides on the infield with a no panic approach.
