Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 165lb frame with projection left. 7.52 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Wide, slightly bent, and open stance with rhythm in the hands at the shoulder. Utilized a barrel tip on time with a lift and replace stride to initiate the bat head through a whippy, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Worked towards a high finish allowing for a near 30% fly ball rate (via Trackman) and added a T86 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Feel for the top hand, able to deliver directly towards the baseball; notched a 315 foot batted ball distance suggesting doubles power available when striking the ball at the front of the plate. Featured a primary middle of the field, RCF approach and saw consistent connection in the swing.
Defensively: The primary shortstop demonstrated smooth footwork, using rhythm on-time in the feet, right-to-left as the ball arrived. Fielded out in front softly, funneling inward and released from a strong, H ¾ slot with some length on the takeaway (pace, 80 mph arm, glove tap). Showcased the ability to handle plays on the run while throwing across his body accurately.
