Barone had an impressive performance at the Fall Top Prospect games. Barone has projectable physical frame at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box with a slight bend in the knees and open stance. Barone works off a simple load and has a quick direct path to the baseball. Barone displayed hard contact in the gaps during batting practice. Defensively- the 1B displayed active footwork. Takes his time to gather himself when making throws across the diamond. Barone moves well enough around the bag and throws from a high arm slot. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and a projectable live arm. Barone does a good job of working downhill from a balanced backside. The 2021 graduate was impressive in live game action with a three pitch mix. FB peaked at 80 MPH, CB range was 61-64 MPH and the CH range was 68-70 MPH. Barone is a must follow as he continues to develop.

Barone is a 5-foot-8 175 pound right handed third baseman and pitcher who ran a 7.68 60 and 4.82 home-to-1B. Offensively- Starts straight up, slight back knee bend and a little bat dip on shoulder. Simple toe tap load. Short, compact swing, high one handed finish. More back hip drive would see his exit velocity of 75 MPH jump. Stayed relatively short and worked the middle of the field with his results. Defensively- Starts low to the ground; showed some quick lateral actions occasionally fielding the ball underneath. Will need to improve arm strength (66 MPH) to stay on the left side but time is on his side to do so. Pitching- Starts straight up, both heels on the rubber. Front leg steps in front of the rubber to start windup; hands up from chest to head, knee to mid chest. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action, Fastball ranged 69-71 MPH. CB was 58-59 with change working in at 61-62 MPH.
