3.21.16 - Maryland recruit 2016 LHP Tyler Blohm was impressive in his outing against Calvert Hall. The long and lanky left-hander was 86-88 mph in the first inning topping out at 89 mph twice. He was 84-87 mph in the second. Has cleaned up some of his mechanics getting his lower half more involved and not closing his hips off as much at lift. Showed better arm speed at finish. Fastball is a bit straight with some late action at times. Breaking ball showed sharp 1/7 action with tight spin and fastball arm speed. Changeup had late fade and dive at the end of the pitch with fastball arm speed at 73-75 mph.
