As the Fall Ball season kicks into full gear, we update our fall rankings with the Tennessee 2023 class. Another deep talented class as we expand to 230 prospects, including 25 D1 commits. Class is heavy with arms as they claim the top eight spots of the top ten, lead by Vanderbilt commit RHP Ethan Robinson (Donelson Christian), who has been wire to wire number one prospect thus far.    There were 78 newcomers to the prospect rankings, headlined by Texas A&M commit Jett Johnston, who transferred into Farragut over the summer. 2021 Future Gamer Tanner Lane (LHP/1B; Goodpasture) is the current top uncommitted player on the board after topping 88 and showing some big time pop from the left side. 

As always, the evaluation process is a fluid and ongoing process with multiple viewings in order to get the best feel for players abilities. It’s important to note that as players continue their development some show marked improvement at a much more rapid pace. That doesn’t indicate that other players got worse or went backwards, it’s just how player development works.  As the years unfold, players make improvements and new prospects pop up on the radar expanding the PBR rankings universe.  In addition to the evaluations of players, our scouts, both those in Tennessee and nationally, have also had multiple discussions with each other to review our individual lists and then make adjustments based on what we've each seen.

As the winter approaches, we will be reassessing all the class rankings and expanded the list as we prep for the 2022 high school season.  Players will make big off season gains and make their case to be included in the Tennessee class rankings.
