Previously mentioned with Trent Miller, but the other half of 1a/1b arms for the Greenbrier Bobcats. Conquest was a electric at the PBR Future Games running the FB up to 92 and feel for a breaking ball. He's got a much more compact frame than Miller, so district foes will see two very different looks in a series. The uncommitted junior has great mound presence and pitches with an edge that will make for some exciting games this Spring.
12/10/20
Uncommitted; 5-foot-8, 168-pound slim, athletic frame with limited projection, but a quick live arm. Jumped on the radar at Lakepoint this fall (FB: 82-85), then followed it up with a TN/KY Border Battle appearance and 5-Star Midsouth Scout Day. Simple, repeatable delivery with controlled tempo, arm working up to high 3/4 slot. Hides the ball thru delivery and comes out of the hand clean. In a chilly Border Battle outing, Conquest tossed two innings allowing no hits and punching out three, but struggled commanding the zone at 78-82 with 65-70 mph 11/5 action CB. At 5-Star MidSouth Scout Day, he rebounded sitting 81-84, T86 and more sharpness on breaking ball at 68-70. Solid positional workout as a corner outfielder with good arm strength and line drive pop. A young arm still getting innings under his belt and learning, but very competitive and lively stuff from a small frame,
9/25/20
Uncommitted, 5-foot-8, 160-pound slim, athletic frame. Quick, live arm that works up to high 3/4 slot with square landing. Strong lower half in delivery with some effort. Pounded the zone with his FB at 82-85, commanding it down in the zone. Slight action on it, but good downhill plane that beats barrels. Occasionally mixed a 71-73 mph CB with 11/5 shape and decent bite, but Conquest's pitch usage was a heavy FB diet.
