Warmath helped lead Covington to the state tournament, playing shortstop and serving as district starter. He was the tone setter at the top of the lineup and smooth defender up the middle. He had some shoulder issues this offseason, but he completed basketball season and will be ready to go this Spring. Similar to Parris, it's uncertain if he'll be a full go on the mound from the start, but his value up the middle is huge for CHS.
10/25/20
The 6-foot-2, 160-pound shortstop picked up right where he left off last month at Rose Park. Lean, athletic frame with good projection. Tall, balanced stance with moderate leg kick and simple load. Sprays line drives to all fields with flashes of gap power. Defensively, very sound hands and transfers with good clock making play deep in the 6-hole while playing both middle infield positions. On the bump, pounded the zone and attacked hitters with 81-84 mph FB (T 2183 rpm per Trackman). Solid CB at 68-70 with good shape and solid spin (T 2200 rpm). Tossed a perfect, three-up, three down inning while punching out two.

6-foot-2, 160-pound right-handed two-way prospect, lean, athletic build, plenty of room to fill out. On the mound, arm works short and clean on the back-side, quick arm speed to low ¾ slot. Fastball sat 81-85, controlled the zone, high volume of strikes. Soldier, 67-70, late downer action, at its best when located low in the zone, bottomed out, swing and mis pitch, at-times got around the pitch, creating sweeping action.
9/27/20
6-foot-2, 160-pound middle infielder/right-handed pitcher put together an impressive debut. Lean, athletic frame with good projection. At the dish, tall, balanced stance with moderate leg kick and simple load. Gets on plane early with long barrel drag in the zone, leading to more consistent barrels. Gap to gap power (89.4 mph exit velo) while spraying line drives to all fields. Defensively, very sound process and consistency. Smooth footwork with soft hands and clean transfers. On the bump, quick-pace delivery working up to low 3/4 slot. Attacks the zone, leading with FB at 80-84, T85 (2217 rpm) with slight arm side action. Breaking ball at 67-73 with mostly 11/5 shape and good bite. Manipulates the shape a bit, almost serving as two separate offerings. Showed CH at 71-73 with good arm speed and some depth, flashes of being a solid 3rd offering.
