The dual-sport athlete has been committed to the Gamecocks since fall of 2020, but decided to test the waters with the desire of playing baseball and football at the next level. 5-foot-10, 195-lb physical frame w/ athleticism and explosiveness. Balanced stance w/ small leg kick and compact hand load. Generates above average bat speed while getting on plane and provides some serious thump (T 95.2 exit velo). Keeps everything simple and compact before ball jumps off the bat. Defensively, can play all three outfield positions. He's not only a quick runner, but a powerful runner (7.10 sixty in July 2020), who can cover ground and apply pressure on the base paths. He's got good arm strength (85 OF velo in 2021) as well, making him a well rounded defender. On the gridiron, his tools translate well to RB as he keep his pad level down w/ a blend of power/speed. Through the first three games, he's amassed 549 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns while the Red Raiders are off to a 3-0 start.

Hampton is a physical, freakish athlete, who posted some serious numbers on the gridiron this fall. He was kinda log jammed in the OF for an absolutely loaded Baylor club last season. However, good chunk of last years lineups is playing power five baseball right now, so it will be Hampton's role (along with Amari Jefferson) to fill more of an everyday impact player. The South Carolina commit has shown big time pop and can go get it in the OF with looks of having a breakout season with more at bats.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound South Carolina commit has an incredibly high ceiling and showed well at the Future Games. Compact frame with present strength and physicality while maintaining excellent burst. At the dish, simple balanced stance with compact load and moderate leg kick. Generates explosive bat speed (Max: 78.1 mph; Avg: 72.1 mph per Blast) and promising rotational data (Max: 20.4 G; Avg: 15.2 per Blast). The bat path is a touch flat, but none the less some serious gap to gap juice (Max exit velo: 93.5 mph; Max distance: 354 ft per Trackman) from the 23' OF. Produces some strong quality at bats over the weekend with a single, an RBI, and two runs scored. Defensively, flashes the running back skills as a powerful runner (7.10 sixty time) with good range and arm strength (85 OF Velo). Made an impressive shoestring grab in shallow LF vs Indiana. Can play all three OF positions and be a consistent high ceiling contributor in the lineup at the next level.
