As the year winds down, we've taken a look back at the 2021 arms as they prepare for their senior season this Spring.  It's been a special class to follow as we've seen Chase Burns (Beech) run it up to 100 at Lakepoint this summer, but it's been an overall rise in velo with a class best 34 arms topping at 88+ mph.  Sixteen pitchers have been 90+ on the bump with fifteen committed D1 and one uncommitted.  Velocity trends are continuing to uptick similar to the MLB's progression over the past decade, which will continue to impact recruiting as 30 of the 34 at 88+ have committed with 23 D1 commits.  

There will be many senior arms to join this group as the All-State Preseason Showcase Series approaches and the 2021 high school season looms.  There are twenty more uncommitted senior pitchers who have topped 85-87, and will look to break into the Heat Sheet.
