MTSU Commit, 6-foot, 176-pound frame. The right hander is returning from some shoulder issues that plagued him in late 2019, but he didn’t skip a beat. Quiet, fast-paced delivery with emphasis on strong lower half. Quick arm working up to low 3/4 slot with little effort. Heavy FB at 84-88 with late sink, which he located well. Threw a really impressive CH at 79-82 with great deception and depth. Sells threw it to both righties and lefties, generating swing n’ miss put away pitch. Threw a hard SL at 77-79 to round out the arsenal with sharp, downer bite.

6-0, 176-pound righty continues to just keep getting better every time we’ve seen him, culminating with his final FB of his pen touching 90. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, projectable. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber. Simple, repeatable delivery w/ super quick arm. Angle. FB shows occasional short arm-side run. Medium downer CB flashed tight rotation, late bite. Chance to be a put-away pitch. CH was better at 82, where it showed fade and sink, as opposed to 85, where it was firm w/ short sink. Chance for 3 above average offerings as he develops. Around the zone w/ 3-pitch mix, shows ability to pitch to both corners with the FB, throw his secondary pitches for strikes.

6/13/18 - Max FB: 88, FB: 83-87, Avg FB: 84.41, CB: 71-74, CH: 79 6-foot-0, 171-pound, RHP recorded the top velocity we have seen from a 2021 arm w/ an idea of how to pitch. Medium, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, projectable. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ to H ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. Super quick arm w/ some effort in the throw. Clean, repeatable delivery, learning to utilize lower half to keep arm on time. Downhill plane from the H ¾ release. Straight FB shows occasional arm-side run. Medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation. Occasional spinner, occasional above average depth w/ some tightness. Arm lagged behind slightly on this day, made it hard for him to consistently finish like we have seen it this spring. Mixed in one straight CH that stayed elevated. Around the zone, sprayed more than we have seen. May have been a case of nerves with his first showcase and overthrowing slightly. Projects to command based on control we saw this spring.
