6-foot-3 170-pounds. Lanky right handed arm. Straight OT arm action with good life on the FB. FB sits 84-87, topping out at 87 with 2100-2200 spin rate. Even though the arm angle is over the top there was still good mobility in the shoulder that produced a loose arm. Gets good extension with the tall frame, and has a strong finish. Struggled with SL command some, but the spin and action is there. There is more in the tank for sure.

Regen had solid outing at the TBCA showcase in June before receiving an invite to PBR Future Games. For Team Tennessee, Regen shined while tossing two scoreless innings (4 K | 0 H | 1 BB). The outing against Missouri earned him Team Tennessee Top Performer of the Day.  Fastball worked 85-88 and good command of 70-72 mini-hammer. Rose from 53 to 25 (+28).

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound tall lean right hander started Game 2 vs Missouri tossing two hitless innings.  Regen utilized mostly fastball-curveball combo to punch out 4 Missouri hitters and yielded only one base runner.  Fastball worked 85-88 (Max Spin: 2200 AVG: 2039) w/ good life and carry through the zone. The breaking ball was a 12/6 mini-hammer at 70-72 (Max Spin: 2127 AVG: 2049) that tunneled well off the fastball, freezing many hitters.  Previously mixed changeup in low-70s as well.  Pitched from quiet delivery w/ high 3/4 arm slot and good plane to the plate. His game 2 outing earned him Friday Top Performer for Team TN.  Profile projects as a high-rising 2021 prospect w/ great projectability and pitch repertoire 

10/14/18 - Max FB: 81, FB: 78-81, CB: 69-70 

6-foot-3, 155-pound, RHP showed off his super projectable frame and easy arm action to generate 3 swing and misses on 5 swings.  Prototypical pitcher frame, tall, athletic w/ long limbs, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to OTT release from the first base side of the rubber.  Quiet, repeatable delivery w/ loose arm action.  Flashes downhill plane.  Learning how to utilize his lower half to consistently get his arm on time.  FB shows occasional short arm-side run.  Tight medium downer CB flashes proper rotation, late bite.  Was inconsistent finishing the pitch on this day.  Sprayed the zone, tools to control.

6-foot-3, 155-pound, RHP shows intriguing combination of athleticism, frame projectability and arm speed.  Tall, athletic frame, long and lanky w/ a little lower half strength.  Super projectable, prototypical pitcher frame at this age, has not scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Repeatable delivery w/ some effort in the throw.  Quick arm.  Downhill plane.  Heavy FB w/ occasional short cut.  Medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation, flashes tightness.  Straight CH w/ arm-speed, occasional short fade and sink.  Thrower on this day, projects to throw strikes.

6-foot-3, 155-pound, RHH showed intriguing two-way potential.  Tall, athletic frame, long and lanky w/ a little lower half strength.  Super projectable, prototypical pitcher frame at this age, has not scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, upright stance w/ hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load.  Occasionally gets too deep with his hands, near arm bar, and creates length.  Generates bat speed through the zone in a pull oriented swing.  Intriguing combination of athleticism and baseball ability in a tall frame.  Projectable pull power.  Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ easy arm strength, may end up projecting best on the mound.
