The #1 uncommitted left-hander in the 2021 class continues to make strides on the mound. His fastball climbed to 87 this summer plus feel for 72-74 mph slider and 80-81 mph changeup. The southpaw jumped from 36 to 21 (+15).
7/24/18 - Max FB: 83, FB: 79-83, CB: 67-70, CH: 75
5-foot-11, 150-pound, LHP showed easy arm-speed. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. Quiet, repeatable delivery w/ quick arm. Struggled to repeat arm slot on this day, working to keep his consistently quick arm on time with his lower half. FB shows arm-side run w/ occasional sink. Medium downer CB flashes proper shape and rotation. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink. Sprayed the zone on this day, struggled to get in the zone consistently. Exact opposite of the outing we saw at WWBA, where he had an ability to fill the zone w/ his 3-pitch mix. Generated 2 swing and misses on 4 swings.

5-foot-11, 150-pound, LHH had a big offensive day, collecting 3 hits, including a double while showcasing plus arm strength in the OF. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a very slightly open, very slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride and proper load. Generates bat speed through the zone. All fields approach w/ lot of line drives. Quiet, repeatable swing projects to hit for average. Projectable pull power as the frame matures. Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ easy arm strength.
