Tall-and-fall type pitcher and shows some effort. Has strong balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 87-89 mph with a max of 90 mph; has plus action and around the zone command with sharp movement. His 11/5 curveball (64-65) shows control low in the zone and tight action. His changeup (77-79) showed command around the zone and fading action.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound lanky right hander worked one inning in Game 3 vs Kentucky. Kimberlin has a long, lean frame and pitched from a high-lever 3/4 arm slot getting good extension through his pitches. Fastball worked 84-87 (Max Spin: 2334 AVG: 2135) w/ good ride and elite spin rate. Kimberlin utilized elevated fastball for S/M which paired well with 12/6 curveball at 67-68 w/ good depth. Also showed developing changeup at 75-76 w/ decent fade. Kimberlin had the best fastball spin rate average among Team TN, just missing the top max FB spin rate. Profile projects as lanky RHP w/ superior spin rate FB and good projectability.

Medium, athletic, high-waisted frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable. Pitches form a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber. Throws across his body w/ long and loose arm action. Clean, repeatable delivery w/ some recoil in his finish. Straight FB shows occasional short arm-side run. Tight medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation. Straight CH w/ arm-speed, occasional cut. Around the zone, projects to command.
