TPG West: Primary Outfielder Breakdown

On June 23, over 70 players from all corners of the Commonwealth took part in our Top Prospect Games West. We continue our detailed breakdown of those players today with the outfielders:

Jackson Baldridge OF / 1B / Bishop Ireton, VA / 2021

Baldridge is 6-2 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, straight to the ball, uphill swing path, showed a pull approach, strong at contact with extension through the ball, some power present, exit velocity was 89. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 85. Showed versatility taking balls in the infield where his velocity was 83. Ran a 7.12 60 yard dash.

Zachary Barco OF / 1B / Cosby , VA / 2021

Barco is 6-0 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth slight load. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill swing path, showed a good approach using whole field, some strength at contact, exit velocity was 83. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 77. Jake Barker OF / RHP / Waynesboro, VA / 2022

Barker is 5-11 with a lankier athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back. Seth Brooks RHP / OF / Glen Allen, VA / 2022
