Via is 6-3 with a lankier athletic frame that has strength present in the lower half and a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a wider slightly open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, strong at contact point, showed a good approach using the whole field, gap power present to all fields with a chance to grow into more, exit velocity was 90. In the outfield, gets behind ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a very short arm action, position velocity was 70. Ran a 6.6760 yard dash.

Via is 6-3 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a wide leaned back athletic stance, very short stride on line, short load down to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, straight to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a primarily pull approach with some loft and power in the gaps, exit velocity was 89. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and aggressively fields through it to his side with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters slot, position velocity was 67. Ran a 6.73 60 yard dash.
10/20/19
Projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds that oozes athleticism. Ran one of the better, and easier, Home-1st times on the day with a 4.03. At the plate has a very simple efficient approach and setup. Wider athletic base, no stride, and minimal hand load. Swing had a short level path, flashed some hand speed and strength, and line drive tendency. Exit velocity was 81 mph. Attacks the ball in the outfield, glove presented to catch outside the body, and used a higher crow hop on exchange. Long arm action and throws from a higher three-quarter arm slot with a 71 mph positional velocity. Via is a kid that should be exciting to watch as he continues to shape some of his raw athletic ability and add arm strength.
