Also threw a runner out at second with big arm strength.

Flugaur has a clean, uninterrupted arm action, controlled the strike zone and sat at an easy 75-77 mph that he was able to hold throughout the outing; jumps through the zone. Plays shortstop when he’s not pitching; athletic actions, ranges well to both sides, above-average arm strength that carries with accuracy. Patient left-handed hitter with a loose bat and athletic hands that help create bat speed; quick first step out of the box. A follow 2024 two-way prospect moving forward.

Aggressive approach at the plate, regularly jumped on the first pitch of his at-bats; still has strike zone feel and did not swing and miss or chase much out of the zone. Loose/athletic hands help time up contact and barrel baseballs to all fields; squared up contact on Sunday to right field and on a deep triple to left. He’s an above-average runner who moves well around the bases and in the outfield. Defensively, showed good range on routes to both sides; throws also carried. Threw out a runner at home, efficiently funneling a ground ball to throwing position.

Hits from a tall setup, rhythmic pre-pitch helps him sync up and time the barrel well, short path, fast bat speed, high two-hand finish. Got behind the plate in game two on Sunday at Milkmen Field, flexible and dependable in the crouch, protecting balls in the dirt from big backstop. Sturdy receiver with above-average quickness out of the chute, especially for his size. Popped an off-target 2.25 in-game and nearly threw out a baserunner with a 2.57, athletically receiving a pitch to his left, well out of the strike zone, efficiently gathering and releasing to the bag with arm strength.
