Western Illinois commit. 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, well-portioned, lean, athletic frame. Coming off an off-season injury got a limited start to start his senior season. The southpaw works from the stretch only, works in-line and in rhythm. Long, clean arm action from a high 3/4 arm slot. Used a fastball, curveball mix to keep the Marist off-balance. Fastball worked with late arm side action and controlled the zone at 83-85 mph. The curveball was the go to secondary offering with the ability to manipulate shape/action, mainly worked off 1/7 plane but was able to work a 12/6 against lefties, sitting 66-69 mph. Kachinsky went 2.2 innings of shutout, no-hit baseball while striking out three.

6-foot, 162-pound, well-proportioned, left-handed pitcher. Repeated his delivery well and kept hitters off balance all day long thanks to his fastball/curveball combination. Mixed his curveball in at any time, short wrinkle, feel for the zone, 1/7 shape. Fastball played in the mid-70’s, topped at 78 mph; a bunch of weak contact, rollovers, frustrating hitters. Pitchability left-hander who collects outs to follow in the 2023 class. Final Line: 4 IP, 4 H, ER, 3 K, 2 BB.
