Each year, PBR Tournaments’ Grand Park Fall Championships kicks off the fall season with a one-stop shop recruiting buffet at the pristine confines that is Grand Park outside of Indianapolis. The event, which features teams from the Midwest across each of the four high school classes, overlaps with the prestigious Puma Classic, a junior college tournament that brings in recruiters from all across the country. This year, more than 200 college coaches and professional scouts were in attendance in hopes of finding future impact players and prospects.

A number of the top prospects in Wisconsin, spanning all HS grad classes (2024s-2027s), were in attendance throughout the weekend, with a number of them standing out with their performance.

Today, we’re sharing with you our notes on some of the top Wisconsin prospects that we saw at this event. Our state was well-represented at the Midwest Fall Championships, so it was difficult to capture it all, but the PBR Wisconsin scouting staff took in as many games, teams, and players as we could. We published our findings below.

UPPERCLASS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

+ The recently committed RHP Ethan Bauerschmidt (Tremper, 2025; Penn State commit) provided yet another upside look during the weekend’s action. Listed at a long 6-foot-3, 178-pounds, Bauershmidt sat in the mid-80s during his outing, with his hardest fastball coming in at 87 mph from an easy and controlled delivery. His breaking ball was also noteworthy, as he showed the ability to land the 2,500 RPM breaking ball in the zone, while also throwing it outside for whiffs. He also flashed a deceptive, running changeup to left-handed hitters which earned a couple swings-and-misses.

Ethan Bauerschmidt (9/17/23)

+ RHP Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025) provided an upside look out of the ‘pen during Friday’s action. On the mound, Clayton is a controlled mover, working inline to home and also features a clean and continuous arm loop. During his two innings of work, Clayton sat in the 83-86 mph range with his fastball that flashed some heavy sinking action. His breaking ball was also impressive as it ranged in the low-70s with late 11/5 bite and in our previous looks, it has featured over 2,500 RPMs, too. Clayton would earn the win due to his efforts across 2.2 innings of work, in which he held a talented opposition to just one run.

Jaxon Clayton (9/15/23)

+ C/OF Connor Harvie (Waterford Union, 2025) is a strong 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect who continued to impress during our time at Grand Park. On Saturday morning, Harvie was all over the barrel, utilizing a quick and direct right-handed stroke. After shooting a deep fly ball to the opposite field that was ultimately caught in his first at-bat, Harvie followed it up with a hard hit single to his pull side. While he wasn’t behind the plate in this game, in the past Harvie has proved to be a well-above average defender behind the plate, as he has recorded pop times as low as 2.05 while being an advanced receiver, too.

+ OF/RHP Clayton Kroschel (Wayland Academy, 2025) most known for his abilities with the bat and in the field, Kroschel hopped on the mound for an inning and provided an intriguing look. The ultra-athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-hander showed a polished look on the mound with control of three-pitches. His fastball sat comfortably at 83-85 mph with more to come, showing feel to locate around the zone. Pairing his fastball with a fading changeup that he located away to left-handed-hitters as well as a low-70s curveball that he was able to land in the zone for strikes.

Clayton Kroschel (9/17/23)

+ C/3B/OF Ryan Lemm (Janesville Craig, 2025) was an impact bat at the top of this Hitters 2025 lineup all weekend long. Built at a strong 5-foot-8, 180-pounds, the left-handed hitting backstop found numerous barrels throughout the weekend, highlighted by a 2-for-3 performance in their final game on Sunday which included a deep triple to the opposite field. Behind the plate, Lemm was also an advanced receiver while also showcasing a quick and accurate arm behind the plate. Currently inside of the top-25 in the state, Lemm continued to prove to be name-to-know inside of Wisconsin’s 2025 class.

+ During Saturday’s slate of games, RHP Jack Poellot (Lake Country Lutheran, 2025) was dominant in his outing. Built at an athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, Poellot is a quick-armed right-hander who ran his fastball up to 87 mph, while sitting in the 84-86 mph range throughout. He paired his fastball with a curveball in the high-60s which played with late 11/5 action and also induced a handful of awkward swings-and-misses. Poellot would finish his illustrious outing with six strikeouts, while scattering just three hits in his six shut-out innings of work.

+ At 6-foot-3, 150-pounds, RHP Manuel Sostre (St. Thomas More, 2025) boasts some of the biggest upside inside of the Badger State’s junior class. On Saturday, Sostre got the start for Hitters in their first game of the day where he ran his fastball up to 87 mph early on and sat in the low-to-mid-80s throughout. He also featured a low-70s breaking ball that flashed tight 10/4 action, too. The ease and fluidity of his delivery, paired with the frame that Sostre presents make him a very intriguing right-handed arm to continue to closely monitor.

Manuel Sostre (9/16/23)

+ C Terek Verhage (Monona Grove, 2025) is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound backstop to know inside of the Badger State’s 2025 class. Behind the plate, Verhage is an above-average defender with a strong arm that he pairs with quick feet to record pop-time lows of 1.94. At the plate, Verhage is a confident, selective hitter and his smooth left-handed swing was on the barrel across multiple looks this weekend, highlighted by a 3-for-3 performance on Sunday. His bat-to-ball skills are noteworthy and if his power output continues to trend in the right direction, it will certainly add to his already impressive prospect stock.

+ One of, if not the top up-the-middle defender in the state, SS Preston Yaucher (Edgewood, 2025) continued to impress at Grand Park, since starring on Team Wisconsin at the Future Games. As expected, Yaucher was a lockdown defender for his GRB team all weekend long, making a number of tough plays look easy, while also showing a strong and accurate arm across the infield. In the box, the right-handed hitter worked into deep counts a number of times throughout the weekend and on Sunday he tallied two hits from a quick and direct swing, geared for spraying line drives to all fields.

Preston Yaucher (9/17/23)

+ The recent Future Games standout, 2B Jack Zeller (Indian Trail, 2025) put together yet another impressive performance in front of our staff this weekend. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound athlete swings a controlled left-handed bat, and pairs it with innate bat-to-ball skills that have the ability to spray line drives to the entire field. One of the biggest takeaways from Zeller’s performance during the weekend was that he has added some more power at the plate, as he smacked a solo home run to right field on Saturday night. Zeller also manned the second base position for a majority of the weekend and there he is a sure-handed defender with athletic actions. 

UNDERCLASS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

+ Recently making his debut at No. 43, C Manuel Abreu-Socorro (Sun Prairie East, 2026) is a lean and athletic backstop who impressed at Grand Park. Abreu-Socorro has some strength in his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame but still has plenty of room to continue to develop. Behind the plate, Abreu-Socorro features a quick transfer and a short arm action that produced sub-2.10 pop times in between innings. At the plate, his aggressive right-handed bat flashed some big power potential as he ripped a deep triple off of a low-80s fastball. 

+ One of the top sophomore prospects in Wisconsin’s sophomore class, SS Winston Alonso (Reedsburg Area, 2026) headlined a talented GRB Rays 2026 squad. At the plate, Alonso swings a twitchy left-handed bat that utilizes the entire field and despite playing against competition a year older, he finished the weekend with three hits, while taking a number of quality at-bats. Defensively, Alonso is an athletic mover at the shortstop position with sure-handedness and certainly looks the part of a lockdown defender at the next-level. 

+ LHP Tanner Buhlmann (Arrowhead, 2026), who made his rankings debut on our latest 2026 rankings update, dominated in his start on Saturday morning for his GRB STiKS squad. The southpaw utilized a two-pitch mix to earn 11 strikeouts complete game, shut-out efforts. His fastball sat in the high-70s throughout his appearance, topping at 81 mph early on and it played with some hard running action, too. His breaking ball sat in the high-60s, featuring lateral action with 2/8 shape and he also flashed a running changeup, too. The pitchability that Buhlmann currently possesses is noteworthy and he is certainly a name to follow as he continues to develop as a prospect.

+ MIF Aidan Kolb (Hartford Union, 2026) just recently debuted at No. 13 on our updated sophomore rankings board and he was amongst the top offensive performers throughout the weekend. Kolb is a 5-foot-9, 155-pounder with quick hands in the right-handed box and he pairs it with legitimate bat-to-ball skills, too. In Hitters’ four games of the week, Kolb tallied a hit in each of those, and on Sunday he broke out for a 3-for-3 performance with one RBI. Defensively, Kolb manned the shortstop position for a majority of the weekend and he displayed sure-handed actions that are certainly well-above average given his age. 

+ RHP Parker Lawson (Bay Port, 2026) is built at a physically mature 6-foot-3, 210-pounds who is currently slotted at No. 28 in the state’s 2026 rankings. During his outing, the right-hander pounded the zone with his two-pitch mix which included a fastball up to 83 mph from an easy and simple delivery and a high-60s breaking ball with short 10/4 action. 

Parker Lawson (9/16/23)

 + OF Kaiden Romens (Hartford Union, 2026) is a 5-foot-8, 150-pound outfielder who was on the barrel across a couple of looks this weekend. Romens, a left-handed hitter, swings a quick and direct bat that has the ability to shoot that ball to the whole field. His bat-to-ball skills are noteworthy and he is surely a prospect to continue to keep tabs on as he continues to develop. 

Kaiden Romens (9/16/23)

+ OF Nolan Schmidbauer (Waukesha West, 2026) is an athletic member of the state’s sophomore class and he was all over the barrel across a couple of looks this weekend. Schmidbauer features a quick right-handed swing which flashed some power potential throughout the tournament, highlighted by a deep triple to his pullside during Saturday’s action. In the outfield, his twitchy athleticism makes him a suitable option anywhere in the outfield.

+ Standing at a lean 5-foot-11, 154-pounds with long limbs, RHP/1B Bennett Schueller (Franklin, 2026) boasts some high-upside as a two-way prospect. Offensively, the switch hitter started his weekend off with a 3-for-3 performance on Friday night, which included a double to center field. He followed that up with another multi-hit performance on Sunday and drove in two runs, too. While he didn’t toe the rubber over the weekend, Schueller has impressed on the mound before with a high-70s fastball and feel for both a slider and splitter as well.

+ C/OF Jack Spielmann (Milton, 2027) is an exciting left-handed hitting athlete in the state’s rising freshman class that has impressed across a number of looks this year, including at Grand Park. Batting leadoff all weekend long, Spielmann has an advanced approach at the plate, and he pairs it with a loose swing with bat-to-ball skills that produced a number of line-drive contact. Spielmann is also amongst the class's top athletes, too, causing havoc on the basepaths and roaming the outfield with utmost confidence. Behind the plate, he is a quality receiver with quick feet and an accurate arm that certainly looks the part of a well-above average backstop in the future.
