At 6-foot-3, 150-pounds, Sostre boasts some of the biggest upside inside of the Badger State’s junior class. On Saturday, Sostre got the start for Hitters in their first game of the day where he ran his fastball up to 87 mph early on and sat in the low-to-mid-80s throughout. He also featured a low-70s breaking ball that flashed tight 10/4 action, too. The ease and fluidity of his delivery, paired with the frame that Sostre presents make him a very intriguing right-handed arm to continue to closely monitor.
Sostre is an upside pitching prospect in the state. Sostre has a projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds with long levers. Sostre works with a low effort delivery with a three-quarter arm slot. His fastball was up to 86 mph with heavy arm side run and boring action into right handed hitters. His curveball flashed hard late break with 10/4 shape and finish to the pitch. His slider works in the zone a tick harder than the curveball with similar shape; both breaking balls have potential to be consistent out pitches for Sostre. It was an intriguing look and a quality performance from the right handed hurler.

Body: 6-3, 175-pounds.
Delivery: Athletic, low effort; works closed down mound. Balanced to target, lands closed, athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm; 3/4 slot. Easy effort.
FB: T86, 84-86 mph. Heavy with arm-side action. T2142, 2043 average rpm.
CB: 69-70 mph. Raw feel but shows upside; flashed tight, short break off a 10/4 plane. T2189, 2077 average rpm.
SL: 70-72 mph. Similar to the curveball; slightly more firm. Short action. T2230, 2160 average rpm.
