C Manuel Abreu Socorro (Sun Prairie East, 2026) continued to show off his skills with the bat and behind the plate on Sunday. The backstop used a short and compact swing to hit line drives through the middle of the field consistently. Behind the plate, he showcased his soft hands with the ability to block the ball during bullpen work. Overall, it was a noteworthy performance from Abreu Socorro, and he continues to be a name to monitor in the state.

Abreu-Socorro is a lean, athletic backstop who has shown the skill set to catch and receive at a high level already. Consistently quick transfers to a short arm action and high release, balanced to and toward the target – uncommon traits for a player his age. Switch-hitter who looks more comfortable from the right side at this time; loose barrel, some bat speed, from a build that should benefit from a natural strength gain as he continues to develop.
