Facebook+InstagramOn Sunday, Team Mid-Atlantic played a doubleheader at LakePoint, taking on Team Florida and Team Georgia. There was a lot of action and here are some quick-hitter notes on performances from the day's games.
-Bryce Cooper (2022, Cave Spring, VA) started the game on the mound, working the first inning, he kept the ball on the ground with a pair of groundouts in the inning.

-Clark Driscoll (2022, Clover Hill, VA) threw out a runner trying to steal and had a good day at the plate, with a walk and stolen base in his first plate appearance and a single to center in his second.

-Aden Hill (2022, Chopticon, MD) had a good first at-bat, working the count deep and doubling into the leftfield corner. In the second game, lined out right at the leftfielder in one at-bat and drew a walk as well.

-Ethan Brooks (2022, Glen Allen, VA) had a sharp single to center in his first at-bat. In the third inning of game 2, he showed his range and arm strength at short, ranging deep into the whole and still having enough arm to get his man. In the second game at the plate, he worked a walk and hammered a ball for a lineout to left.

-Jake Moore (2023, Chatham, VA) singled to right in his first at-bat of each game, ultimately going 4-5 on the day, using the whole field and showing his feel for the barrel throughout the day.

-Benjamin Santiago (2022, Douglas Freeman, VA) was 1-2 in the first game with a double. He also had an RBI single in the second game to go 2-5 on the day.

-Brayden Simpson (2022, Cosby, VA) demolished a ball for a double in the first game and also hammered a ball right at the shortstop in the second game.

-Henry Cooke (2022, Miller School, VA) had an RBI SAC fly and a sharp single to left in the first game. In the second game, had a ball fall in front of the centerfielder that went for a fielder's choice and had another base hit to left.
