Compact athletic frame at 5-foot-8, 155-pounds. Elite runner and cannot stress enough how much his speed impacts the game. As fast as he is, 6.59 60, he still plays the game faster than the watch. It is an easy run that has another gear out of the box. At the plate Jones possesses the barrel control and hand speed to impact the top of the lineup. Exceptional approach that uses the whole field with solid plate discipline and works at bats deep in counts. Obviously possesses the speed and range to stay in center. Jones is an energy giver and in the three days that we had a chance to watch him play he is an exceptional young man and teammate. He will be a huge addition to any program and can affect an offense from day one.

MD MoCo Fall Review
Strong, athletic body type and 5’8’’, 150 pound frame. Hits from an open, slightly crouched stance from the left side with weight slightly loaded on back side. Smooth back load with a small leg kick. Stays behind the ball well and uses some lower half. Explosive short swing to the ball with quick hands and fast bat speed through the zone. Slightly uphill path with good extension through contact and a one handed finish. Did a nice job staying balanced throughout the swing. Uses the whole field with ease and works gap-to-gap with power to the pull-side. Recorded an 82 mph exit velocity. Plays through the ball in the outfield with a short, quick crow-hop during exchange. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 80 mph. Throws were on a line and showed carry and accuracy. Ran an event best 6.62 60-yard time.
