Today is our final breakdown on players from the 17U bracket of the Mid-Atlantic Summer Championships that occurred last week.
Mid-Atlantic Summer Championships 17U Part III:
Caleb Stancil RHP Thomas Dale 2021
Strong physical frame. Started against the Sandhogs on day one and was very effective. Kept their hitters off balance with a 75-77 mph fastball that offered consistent cutting action and pounded the zone with that pitch. Had a 66-68 mph 11/5 breaking ball that he used to keep hitters honest. At the plate had some big at bats for the Hornets with a line drive single into left on a curveball and during his next at bat hit a line drive single to center on a fastball.
Jaden Kinsler LHP Glen Allen 2022
Left handed arm that works out of a low three-quarter arm slot with a simple repeatable delivery. Challenged hitters with a 81-84 mph fastball that tended to play up out of the hand. Topped out at 86 mph. The breaking ball, 62-64 mph, was not a factory early as he tended to slow the arm down and was struggling to find a feel. As the game progressed Kinsler seemed to find the feel and rhythm with the pitch and it was a nice complement to the fastball.
LHP Jaden Kinsler of Richmond Hornets

Solid arm side run on fastball from a low 3/4 arm slot sitting 81-84, T86. Tight slider at 62-64 with late bite down and in to RHH. Great command of the zone with both pitches, easy effort. @PBRTournaments #PBRMASC pic.twitter.com/98sHUe9mLt
Camden Weston 2B Thomas Dale 2021
Compact athletic frame with solid defensive skill set. Short path to contact at the plate and uses the whole field in at bats. Appears comfortable battling deep in counts and fouling pitches off working an at bat. Seemed to be a great teammate and played with a lot of energy.
Athletic frame with room to add strength. Starts open at the plate, strides in landing on line, and hands load in rhythm. Hits against a firm front side, is balanced, and stayed inside at contact working gap to gap. Had some nice at bats throughout the tournament flashing doubles power.
2022 Landon Scott (Atlee HS - Richmond Hornets 16U)

Landon showcases a mature approach at the plate driving a ball into RCF off of a LHP. Quiet step in, on time separation and gets extended through the baseball!@PBRTournaments #PBRMASC pic.twitter.com/FJ24TmnYCF
Lincoln Lubsen C/RHP Walsingham 2021
Strong athletic body that has definite two-way potential. Behind the plate Lubsen offers solid receiving skills to go along with above average blocking ability and advanced catch and throw tendencies. Hunts contact out front and has present pull side power with gap to gap power potential. On the mound Lubsen worked early at 83-86 and velo trended up as his outing progressed. Ended up 84-86 and bumped 87 multiple times and 89 once. Displayed feel for a breaking ball that had 11/5 shape at 73-75 and a few 77's mixed in. Has the ability to be a really solid secondary pitch. Lubsen has continued to impress and is trending up in VA/DC uncommitted players.

Fluid repeatable delivery on the mound. Short quick arm with some deception from the three-quarter arm slot.
