We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England Scout Day: Baseball U CT. This was a great opportunity for 2021-2024 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2020 Scout Day: Baseball U CT - Quick Hits

Position Players

• Daniel Bucciero, 2022-A right-handed hitter swing is short and compact, pull side approach with juice in his hands, lift at the end. The exit velocity was clocked at 89 mph, and a plus runner ran a 6.84 sixty.
• Matthew Bucciero, 2022-A Right-handed hitter, open stance, hands are inside the baseball, quick swing and twitch to him. Length on the finish, getting through it, solid potential to be a power guy at the college level, exit velocity of 91 mph, average runner at 7.0. Showed arm strength from outfield as well. 
• Albert Cantalini, 2022- A right-handed hitter, spread out approach, minimal stride, sits and hits, plus power to all fields, hands are super strong, had an exit of 90 mph.
• Michael Coyne, 2022- A right-handed hitting middle infielder, super smooth actions, moves well to both sides, average arm with a ton more in there. At the plate, loose hands, line drive approach, had an exit velocity of 92 mph. 
• Brett Davino, 2023- A left-handed hitter, hands work with easy effort, level path, line drive approach, baseball jumps off the bat, with an exit velocity of 91 mph. Showed clean actions defensively. 
• Pierce Hingtgen, 2021- Physical right-handed hitter, plus pop to all fields, can defend the hot corner. Second PBR event continues to show extremely well, a 2021 that needs to be seen.
• Kevin Katragadda, 2022- A right-handed hitter, can play all over the field, arm strength of 81 mph, good flow and actions in infield, projecting more at third base. Offensively, a wider set up, all fields approach with juice to beat the outfielders, had an exit velocity of 96 mph. Round of batting practice was legit. 
• Mark Roszkowski, 2021- A right-handed hitting outfielder, showed very well a toolsey athlete, metrics are well above average. The swing is short, quick and powerful, had an exit of 100 mph and ran a 6.69. Launching multiple balls out of the park, need to get on and see ASAP.
• Joel Strand, 2023- A right-handed hitting catcher, showed a big arm behind the plate at 79 mph. The swing is powerful to all fields, hard contact with natural lift to swing. Pro potential down the road. 
• Matthew Vivona, 2022- A right-handed hitting utility player, can swing it, line drive to all fields, hard contact, very good bat to ball skills. A smooth defender can play all over, plus actions, with carry to all throws.
• Mika Petersen, 2022- A left-handed hitting outfield, has plus speed, a 6.72 sixty-yard dash. The swing is short and compact, driving it to all fields, top of the order type hitter. Can out run the baseball, more of a left-fielder, serious potential to hit at the next level. 
• Will Eustace, 2023- A right-handed hitter, shows plus power for his age, creating a ton of lift and loft. More of a pull approach, power guy at the next level. Runs well for a bigger, younger player. 
• Pierce Cowles, 2023- A right-handed hitting middle infielder, showing plus actions and flow. The arm is quick and strong, with plenty of carry across the diamond, clocked at 81 mph. At the plate, hands are strong, inside the baseball, wider setup with a controlled lower half. Look for him to be a serious guy in the 2023 class. 
• Andrew Keaveney, 2022- A physical left-handed hitting 1st baseman, showed plus pop to pull side, took a very good round of batting practice. Potential to hit and hit with power, exit velocity up to 98 mph. 
• Charlie LaFreniere, 2023- A right-handed hitter, showed a middle of the field approach, with the ability to go opposite without much effort. Slightly open stance, hands work freely through the zone, had a 92 exit and moves well, clocked at 7.15 in the sixty-yard dash.

The Arms

• Andrew Castellucio, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, arm action is super loose and whippy, easy smooth delivery. The fastball touched 85 mph multiple times, throwing a good looking slurve.
• Trace Florio, 2022- A left-handed pitcher, working from a higher slot, pitching downhill, late action and life to his 84 mph fastball, with more in there as he continues to refine his craft. The breaking ball has velocity up to 73 mph.
• Max Foster, 2023- A right-handed pitcher, high slot working downhill flight. The fastball sat 81-83 mph, arm works with easy effort, and comes out real well. Shows a good changeup, arm side run, curveball needs more hand speed, this will come over time. Big projection for this one. 
• Kyle Kipp, 2023- A right-handed pitcher, fastball was up to 85 mph, longer arm action from a higher slot, baseball is hidden and gets on you quickly. The breaking ball has velocity clocked at 72 mph. Big follow.
• Grady Golier, 2022- A big bodied right-handed pitcher, pitching from a higher slot, fastball up to 85 mph, heavy bore action to it. Showed a top to bottom over the top breaking ball, clocked at 68 mph. Projects out, plenty of room for added weight gains.
• Matthew Spenner, 2022- A quick arm right -handed pitcher, gets downhill quick, builds momentum with delivery. The fastball reached 86 mph, with arm side action, and the slider was clocked at 74 mph. Looks to be very hard to hit.
• Samuel Weber, 2022- A big body right-handed pitcher, working out of a lower ¾ slot, creates a ton of arm side run, fastball reached 84 mph. The delivery has  deception to it, tough to see and square up. Lives in the bottom part of the zone, ground ball machine.
• Alex Oppenheimer, 2023- A right-handed pitcher, quick arm, up to 85 mph, showed a plus breaking ball.  Locates to both sides, pounds the zone, not overly physical, makeup pitch ability looks to be high.
• Ben Cherico, 2022- A long and lengthy right-handed pitcher, his arm is super loose and whippy from a lower slot, fastball at 83 mph, plays harder than readings. Throws a sweeping hammer, look for a major jump in velocity at some point. 
• Karson Drake, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, velocity up to 84 mph. Showed three above average pitches. The frame is strong and durable, more to come on this one.
