Michael Coyne: SS/2B, (2022) Fairfield College Preparatory School, CT. Georgetown Commit, 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic lean build. Projectable and athletic in the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 96 mph. (71.6 mph bat speed average). (22.3 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is above average, has a flat simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found some barrels with loud contact. Aggressive line drive approach. Above average in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 81 mph; had a clean natural exchange, athletic developing footwork, and soft sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a 60 time of 7.4 at the event. 6-foot, 170-pound, longer, thin, lean athletic frame with plenty of room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitting shortstop, showed well on both sides of the field. Defensively, the glove is soft, moves well to both sides, makes backhand play with ease. All starts and pivots around the bag are quick with flow and rhythm. The arm continues to improve, clocked at 78 mph, with plenty of carry and flight across the diamond, look for another spike at some point. At the plate, hands work freely through the zone, a down to level path, finishes with two hands at the shoulders. The approach is from field to field, had an exit velocity of 89 mph, that was recorded with the wood. Ran a 7.12 sixty-yard dash.

6-foot,170-pound right-handed hitting infielder. He ran a 7.10 sixty on the laser at the event. The approach is fluid in the infield and he stays active with the feet throughout. The glove is soft and he showed the ability to handle the pivot. The arm is clean, throwing 79 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 96 mph. The setup is wide, front foot open to start. The bat has a minimal amount of wrap to it, however he gets the barrel head out and through. The hands work freely and he shows a slightly uphill path to the ball. He turned in a very good workout.

5-foot-11, 165-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, smooth actions and movements, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitter, hands are super loose and relaxed at the shoulders, loaded hands, tilted bat head. Starting open, shoulder width, for timing uses a small controlled leg lift, gains ground, hits against a firm front side. The swing is level to up, with an all fields approach, shows the ability to go the other way. The exit velocity was clocked at 92 mph and ran a 7.21 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, showed very well, feet and hands work well together, light on his feet, moves very well to both sides. The glove is soft, fields out front, gets into an athletic position. The backhand play is made with ease, can throw run on run, makes it look easy. The arm was clocked at 75 mph with a ton more in there. Big follow, a future game participant.

5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed hitting hitting middle infielder. He ran 7.44 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic and he moves his feet through the process of fielding the baseball. The arm is clean, would like to have seen him be more aggressive with it, as he threw 78 mph across the diamond. The hands are clean and he can handle the pivot. The bat has an exit velocity of 92 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot is slightly open to start. The path is clean, flat to the ball. The approach in right-center, which I like, but I would like to see him get stronger and manipulate the bat a bit more. He is a good follow as he is a skilled player.
