He started in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A short stride initiates a simple, flat swing that stays on plane through his finish. During his round, Strand made a lot of loud contact, showed a quick bat and used the whole field. In the infield, Strand was up to 83 mph on his throws across the diamond while showing he had consistent, smooth footwork, sure hands, and a clean exchange. Defense: (C) 1.97-1.99 pop times. Soft sure hands, developing consistent footwork, clean natural exchange. Above average projectable. Clean athletic setup with average flexibility.

6-foot-2, 225-pound physical athletic frame. Advanced and very strong. A right-handed hitter, shows big time power to all fields, lift and leverage to the swing. The bat speed is well above average at 101. Pounded the baseball out of the yard with ease. Defensively, athletic behind the plate. Moves extremely well, blocks and is quick to his feet, softens the baseball, keeping it close to him. The hands are strong on the catch, making it look easy,  pitchers looked  very comfortable throwing to him. Looks to really love his craft behind the plate.

6-foot-2, 225-pound, strong, solid athletic frame. Put together well, already filling out, very good strength to him. A RHH, simple approach, hands at shoulders, even feet, lower half quiet and under control, small pick up and put down. The swing works from field to field, gets through it, creates length to the baseball into the gaps. Potentially to hit and hit with some power, had an exit velocity of 99 mph. Moves very well for a bigger catcher, ran a 7.22 sixty-yard dash. Behind the plate is advanced, clean athletic setup, quick transfer, feet are super fast, front side could stay stronger. The arm action is whippy, high elbow on backside, very good strength at 79 mph down to second base, with a pop time of 1.97-2.06. All throws are on or close to the bag. Showed feel for receiving, worked well with pitchers. Big follow, good future, potential draft at some point.
