6-4, 250 pound, large/athletic build with above average power and size. Offensively, has the build to be a fearful piece of a lineup. With his power he will fill well in a clean up spot, with dangerous power and RBI numbers. Smooth and relaxed load, leading to an explosive/quick swing and above average exit velocity. Sprays line drives and hits for power all over the field. Stays in his legs well and gets good carry on his ball. Defensively, fills a first base role well with his large frame. Will need to get quicker moving laterally. Hands are smooth and throws from a good arm slot with carry. Once he fills his body with more lean muscle he will be a force of nature at the next level.
10/13/18 - Home-1st: 4.91, Position Velocity: IF-74, Exit Velocity: 96 6-foot-4, 240-pound, RHH showed what he can do healthy after battling a severe sinus infection at the Futures, featuring ability to find consistent barrels w/ loud bat speed. XL tall, athletic w/ well-proportioned present strength, close to mature build. Intimidating presence. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ very short hand rhythm into stride to slightly open and proper load. Generates premium bat speed through the zone. Simple, repeatable swing is his separator from other big power offensive players, as he features a quality approach and a knack for contact. Projectable big power to all fields. Defensively, is athletic enough to help in the OF but profiles best at 1B. Features soft hands w/ athletic actions and projectable carry to target arm strength that has played better in the past when he is was not in football season.
1B teased at his power in game, delivering a hammered double to deep left center field despite dealing w/ a stubborn virus. 6-4, 250-pounder features well-proportioned present strength w/ close to mature build. Intimidating presence in the box. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ very short hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone w/ slight uppercut plane. Got a little swing happy out here, developing approach, learning which pitches to swing at early in the count. Once he develops the approach, has the ability to be a big time hitter in the box. Barrel feel w/ repeatable swing. Lot of power, projectable to all fields. Defensively, moves well at 1B w/ solid footwork, soft hands. Moves well for his size, can play LF if necessary as develops.
6/12/18 - Home-1st: 4.94, Position Velocity: IF-84, Exit Velocity: 87 6-foot-4, 250-pound, RHH presents a football player frame w/ lot of present strength and bat speed. Built like a defensive end, XL tall w/ lot of present strength evenly distributed, some physical projection in the upper half. Monster. Offensively, hits w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride to square and hands move into low hand location w/ high elbow. Generates above average bat speed through the zone. Shows occasional rhythm, occasionally hands get caught not moving, making them go from moving to paused to starting up again. Tools to really hit w/ ability to keep lower half back on breaking balls. Lot of power within the frame, projects to drive the baseball to all fields. Projectable slightly below average runner, more athletic than run time suggests. Defensively, shows solid hands, moves well at 1B, more arm strength than he has previously shown. Can also profile in LF, played a solid LF this spring when we saw him.

Quiet head allows barrel feel. Repeats his swing w/ balance. Ball makes a different sound off his bat. Shows HR power to all fields. Projects to hit for average and power, profiles as a middle of the order bat. Defensively, moves well for his size w/ soft hands and an idea how to use his body defensively.
