5-10, 150 pound, medium/athletic build with plus speed and potential. Offensively, has short hand separation with a quick line drive approach. Sits in his backside a little too much, which causes top spin. Still manages to spray line drives all over the field. Once he grows into his size and fills his frame he will be a top of the order, line drive hitter with good speed from the left side of the plate. Defensively, shows quick footwork and solid glove/foot rhythm. Will fill a middle infield well with his quick hands and transfer. Gets pretty good carry on his throws with accuracy.
9/30/18 - Home-1st: 4.44, Position Velocity: IF-72, Exit Velocity: 76 5-foot-10, 135-pound, LHH showed positional versatility while showing a knack for contact. Short, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits from an open, slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into toe tap to open and proper load. Would benefit from getting squared up on his stride, would allow him better plate coverage, make it easier to keep his lower half through the baseball. All fields, line-drive oriented approach when he’s right. Patient approach, understands his zone and rarely expands. Projectable above average runner. Defensively, shows good footwork and soft hands at SS w/ projectable carry to target arm strength. Athletic defender where arm strength will ultimately determine best fit on the IF.
7/3/18 - Home-1st: 4.44, Position Velocity: IF-69, Exit Velocity: 77 5-foot-9, 130-pound, LHH shows above average run speed w/ some bat to ball ability. Short, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength. Super lean, projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, very slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into toe tap to slightly open and proper load. Lands open, creating a lot of energy taking him to his pull side. At his best when he is hitting line drives to all fields. Singles type right now, gap power as frame matures. Projectable plus runner who gets to top speed quickly. Defensively, moves well on the infield w/ soft hands, reliable glove and plays through the baseball well. Projectable carry to target arm strength w/ a chance to play SS.
