TN Underclass Games - Hitters

Tim Kay
PBR Tennessee Director of Scouting

The 2018 Underclass Games took place on Tuesday, July 3rd at Rose Park, the home of the Belmont Bruins.  We got the entire showcase in, 10 innings of game 1 and 8 innings of game 2 before the rain hit and washed out the remainder of the day.  Players were afforded the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of the PBR Tennessee staff and college coaches in attendance. The following is a look at every hitter at the event:

ISAAC GERMAN / OF / RHP / CLARKSVILLE ACADEMY, TN / 2020

Home-1st: 4.69, Position Velocity:  OF-80, Exit Velocity: 89
6-foot-1, 170-pound, RHH had a strong round of BP with consistent hard contact and followed up with a double off the very top of the LF wall in game.  Medium, athletic frame w/ high-waist, well-proportioned lean strength.  Super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hit w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into leg kick and proper load.  Generates above average bat speed through the zone.  Learning to control his body, take the same swing every time.  Subscribes to the philosophy swing hard in case you hit it, consistent bat speed every swing.  Projectable pull power, chance for power to all fields as frame matures.  Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ carry to target arm strength, intriguing corner OF profile.
