2025 RHP Jackson Kornylo (uncommitted) has shown some of the better stuff in Ontario’s 2025 class and looked the part again on Friday. Tons of projection on the mound and should be more velocity coming in the near future with his 6-foot-5, 190-pound frame. Heavy fastball with ride through the zone at 87-88mph and has shown to be difficult to square up. The breaking ball has top-to-bottom action 76-79mph and he was able to throw it for strikes, although he’s still developing feel for the pitch. Occasionally flashed a changeup at 83mph. Sporadic command throughout his first inning but settled in after the first couple hitters and began attacking. Impressive combination of size and stuff and looks to be slowly gaining more and more feel for the mound and his stuff. One of the highest ceiling arms in Canada’s 2025 class.

We got our second look at Kornylo on the mound and in the box this weekend and he continues to show electric tools on both sides of the ball. Looks the part on the mound standing 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, he filled up the strike zone with all 4 of his pitches. The FB sat 86-88 that jumps out of the hand and gets on hitters in a hurry. The CT sat 80-81 and has late, sharp action to it that was difficult to pick up and a SPL that falls off the table and showed the ability to spin the CB in the zone for swing-and-miss.
In the box, there's tons of bat speed and power to his pull-side, finishing with the top exit velocity during the batting practice portion of the event at 102.4 and a max distance of 331 ft. Kornylo has some of the more projectable tools in Canada’s 2025 class and will be a close follow this summer.

Kornylo, 6-foot-5, 188-pounds came as advertised on the mound at PBR Spring Training. Long/projectable frame that looks right on the mound, gets down the mound with intent. He used the FB almost exclusively sitting 86-87 T88.2 with life out of the hand that got tons of in-zone swing-and-misses. He mixed in a downer SL and a CH. Kornylo has jumped on to the scene after his strong showings last fall as he continues to trend upwards in Florida.
