Turned in 6.1 solid innings, allowing a run on six hits and three walks while striking out four. He was 86-88, flashing arm-side run and mixed in a short slider at 77-78 and running changeup at 79-80.
02/20/18- Miami commit. After giving up the first inning run, he settled in well. The fastball worked mostly 86-88 touching 90 mph, but played higher than the velocity. He got at least eleven swing and misses on the pitch and appears to have late riding life. He also a sweeping slider that garnered a handful of swing and misses, working 78-79 mph. The arm works and shows a feel to pitch, should be a 2019 follow.
10/23/16- Miami recruit. He struggled a bit with command, but you can’t miss the 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame and the clean easy arm action. The fastball worked from 87-88 and the curveball was 71-72 mph with depth from a ¾ slot.
8/3/16- Committed to the University of Miami.
5/18/16- Florida International commit who stands at 6-foot, 200 pounds with an athletic, strong, and mature body. He is ranked 17th in Florida and 43rd overall. He has advanced mechanics for his age and has a quick, clean ¾ arm action. He occasionally falls toward third base but he still fills up the zone. He repeats his delivery and he sits 85-86 mph with his fastball and throws tight curveball at 70-72 mph that breaks two planes. Look for him to continue to improve with age and added strength.
5/10/16- FIU recruit. Currently ranked No. 17 in the Florida 2019 class, No. 43 overall. Strong, durable build on a 6-foot, 200-pound frame. Throws out of the ¾ arm slot with a repeatable delivery on a downward tilt. Gets out in front and lands on line, falls off to the side on his follow through. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with arm side run along with a 70-72 mph curveball with depth and good spin. Mixed up his pitches well. Showed good poise and locked in for the rest of his time on the mound after giving up an early run in a big game. Projectable arm that will continue to improve with maturity and some minor mechanical flaw adjustments.
4/27/16- Florida International recruit, currently ranked No. 17 in the Florida 2019 class, No. 43 overall. Strong, thick 6-foot, 200-pound body with a strong lower half. Loose arm action out of the ¾ arm slot and hides the ball well. Repeatable delivery and gets out in front but falls off to the side frequently on his follow through. Landing on line more consistently should improve his control. Fastball sat 84-86 mph with some tailing action along with a 66-69 mph curveball with shape. Mixed in a 74-75 change up with some sinking action. Competes and goes after hitters. Young projectable arm that will continue to improve as he matures.
3/31/16 - 6-foot, 200 pound lefty with a thick stocky body and a strong lower half. Loose easy working arm with a fluid delivery at a ¾ arm slot. Some deception in delivery. Ball comes out of his shirt. Slight stab in back. Lands slightly across the body. Fast ball is heavy at 83-85 mph. Curve ball is a ¾ roller at 71-72 mph. Occasionally works under it. Has feel for change up at 70-71 mph. Needs to stay over rubber longer and work down through the ball instead of letting elbow get under the ball to repeat delivery more consistently. Very good looking young arm.
