A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball

Two-sport athlete (QB), David Galindo made a three inning start vs Team Utah in game 3 on Sunday. Galindo has shown all year that he can command the baseball and win games with above average pitch-ability. The arm action is very short and repeatable, as he sat 85-87 and topped 88 through his 3 innings of work. Not Galindo's best outing of his career, he left some balls up that resulted in knocks, but we again were able to see him change speeds and command the strike zone. Strike thrower of three pitches who's success rides on the location of his pitches, and keeping hitters off balanced. SL was 72-74 with 2300 spin rate. Although the FB will sit 85-87, the ball has some life to it with a max of 20.1 IVB and proved it can get on some hitters.

2023 RHP/C David Galindo (St. Mary’s)- 5-foot-10, 190-pounds, large frame, stocky build, broad shoulders, durable lower half, present strength. Competed as a two-way player. Right-handed hitter, narrow upright base, slightly open stance, uses tight leg kick. Starts with higher handset with a vertical barrel, loads deep into an arm bar. Barrels lays back, getting connected as he starts his swing. Level swing, gets on plane early, accelerates well. Mostly pull-approach with LD/GB contact, 86.53mph exit velocity. Slightly stiff behind the plate with average body awareness, wide base. Makes transfers out infront, throwing hand close to the glove. Replaces feet with limited direction/momentum, relies on natural arm strength, 73mph arm strength. Logged 2.13-2.35 pop times. Firm glove with still target. Also worked out on the mound where he stood out the most in his workout. Simple repeatable delivery from 1B side of the ruber, short stride, stays closed until right before foot strike. Throws with a slightly higher release point from a H3/4 slot, short arm action, some natural arm strength. FB shows above average vertical action at 83-85mph, averages 21in of IVB at 2082rpm. CV has plus potential with added intent, showed depth with 11/5 shape at 69-71mph, averaging, 16in of FB at 2361rpm. Higher potential as he loosens up and learns to use his body.

5-foot-10 190-pounds, stocky build with strong body, broad shoulders, above average strength for age. Still learning to use his body to his advantage. Hits from narrow upright base, using a small forward leg lift with minimal transfer of weight. Pull approach with slightly downward path, 85mph exit velocity. Potential behind the plate, quick raw actions, almost looking as if he wasn’t ready at times. Wide stands with tighter hips. Lets the ball get to him before using a short step to the bag with limited momentum & finish. Naturally strong OT arm at 75mph, recording 2.0-2.1 pop times. Also, pitched at the event and has some upside as a two-way. Worked his FB 82-84mph with some varying movement from a higher arm slot. Mixed in a CV at 69-70mph that showed some downer break.
