In a highly-anticipated start from '21 LHP Brady Garcia (No. 5, Alabama signee), the southpaw struck out the first hitter of the game, but soon struggled in the rest of his outing. Fastball opened up at 87-89 mph with high spin (2400-2500 rpm's) and late life, but command was an issue on the later half of the inning. Worked with a CB/CH combo for offspeed offerings, and was effective early when in the zone. Did not have the results he wanted in his first high school game back from a hip injury, but there's a lot of upside as he continues to get back to shape at 6-foot-6, 205 pounds.
Ultra projectable LHP that already creates good down plane with pitches from his 6'5 frame. His fastball sits in the mod 80's now but as he continues to get stronger and put on weight his velocity will definitely increase. Very clean mechanics with a feel for his offspeed pitches. Can throw any pitch in any count.
