Updated Class of 2020 Player Rankings (March)
The updated 2020 rankings arrive at a strange time in our country. Hopefully, the thought of high school and college baseball can give us some mental relief. The 2020 class has great talent and we hope to see them display their talents at some point in the coming months.
That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this winter. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.
Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the updated 2020 Player Rankings.
WHO IS AT THE TOP?
- Hunter Owen sits at the top of the 2020 rankings, as the Vanderbilt commit went all of last spring with a 0.00 ERA.
- Jake DeLeo, quick-twitch outfielder, who is going to Georgia Tech has an advanced skill set.
- Jake Berger, quick and athletic left-handed hitting middle infielder. He made a name for himself at the Area Code Games. He will attend Harvard.
- Adrian Siravo, potential two-way guy headed to UConn. He should garner a ton of attention this spring.
- Jackson Phinney, physical right-handed hitting catcher who can swing the bat, showing power potential.
- Matthew Shaw is a right-handed hitting middle infielder headed to Maryland. The bat has a chance to be special.
- Calvin Hewitt is an athletic outfielder headed to Vanderbilt. He shows very good athleticism and potential.
- Charlie Coon is a left-handed pitcher headed to Boston College. He shows a feel for the spin pitch and shows power potential with the fastball.
- Connor Hujsak is a lean and athletic two-way player headed to VCU. He is a good looking athlete.
- Korey Morton (Video) might be the best athlete in the class as he is a superb runner who can play the game. He is headed to UConn. The above round out the top 10 players in the updated rankings of the 2020 class in New England.
NEWCOMERS
- Michael Quigley (Video), quick armed right-hander who is headed to UMass-Lowell. He showed explosive stuff at the ProCase.
- Griffin Green, 6-foot-3, right-handed headed to Virginia Tech is a solid prospect. The fastball sits 89-91 and he shows the makings of solid secondary pitches.
- Jack Thorbahn, big and long right-hander who is headed to Northeaster. The frame has leverage and the arm works clean and free.
Risers
- Adrian Siravo, big and long two-way prospect headed to Storrs. He should make an immediate impact as a freshman. He is a very talented prospect with a big league body.
- Nolan Hughes (Video), leverage and long are the terms that come into my mind when I see him throw. He has turned himself into a serious guy on the mound.
- Henry Hersum, the Prout School product is a big and thick right-handed with good arm strength.
- Jackson Phinney, physical right-handed hitting catcher with an advanced skill set across the board.
- Connor Husjak, is a potential two-way player. He shows promise in both areas of his game.
- Jake Berger, left-handed hitting middle infielder headed to Harvard. The instincts are solid across the board.
- Korey Morton, a sub 6.5 runner, the outfielder headed to UConn is a good one to see.
