Has control for the fastball to the arm side on a downward plane at 74-77 mph. Throws the changeup at 64-66 mph with near fastball arm speed and some arm side fade.  Slider gradually works across the plate off the plane of the fastball at 68-69 mph. Nicholas Beatty RHP / OF / Ocean Lakes, VA / 2022

Beatty has a lankier athletic 5-foot-11 and 155-pound frame. Normal paced athletic delivery with some rhythm to it and late intent. Arm action is full and free with plenty of late acceleration from a high three-quarter slot. Hips and shoulders remain level throughout the delivery and lands slightly open after driving down the mound. Fastball was 77-80 mph with a downward plane low in the zone and some minor cut. Throws the changeup without much speed difference from the fastball and some arm side run at 74-75 mph. Curveball was 65-69 mph and creates an 11/5 break with some hard downward movement when down in the zone. Worked all around the zone, but was most effective lower in the zone with the downward plane on the fastball and deep 11/5 breaking ball.

Isaac Camarena RHP / OF / Oscar Smith, VA / 2025

Camarena has a thin, compact athletic frame at 5-foot-7 and 120-pounds. On the mound Camarena has a simple drop and drive delivery with normal effort. Maintains uphill hips and shoulders while working down the mound and lands slightly open. Arm action is short and works from a higher three-quarter slot. Showed feel for the fastball around the zone at 59-62 mph. Worked a changeup off of that pitch at 59-60 mph with gradual fade to the armside. Also featured an 11/5 breaking curveball at 55-56 mph. Had feel for all three around the zone.

Arm action is shorter with late acceleration from a funky three-quarter arm slot and hides the ball well until release. Commanded both sides of the plate with a FB that sat 83-85 mph and topped at 86 with some slight arm side run. Showed feel for a sharp downward 11/5 curveball that has depth down in the zone at 72-74 mph. The changeup sat at 75-76 mph and had some fade to the arm side, also featured a slider at 76-77.

James has a thinner athletic 6-foot and 170-pound frame with longer levers. Wide setup that starts slightly open and then lands slightly closed with level hips and shoulders throughout the simple and controlled delivery. Arm action is full from a higher three-quarter slot that helps create some arm side run on the fastball at 71-73 mph. The changeup sits at 61-65 mph and comes out with a similar look to the fastball with solid downward movement. Showed some depth on the curveball at 61-65 with slight 1/7 movement. Arm slot helps create some downard sink on the fastball at 78-80 mph and topping at 81 with some movement to the arm side as well. Showed a slider that has a 10/4 shape at 70-72 mph with feel for the zone. Worked mostly to the glove side and was around the zone with some control in the lower third. Flashed a 70-71 mph curveball, 69-72 mph changeup, and a 74-75 mph splitter that displayed fastball arm speed.
