Hill has a thinner athletic 5-foot-9 and 140-pound frame with plenty of room to add strength. Athletic setup in the box from the right side with low set hands that work back in a low hover load. Hips rotate completely and maintains balance throughout the swing. Line drive tendencies in the swing. Fires the barrel with a slightly uphill and direct path, hands are firm through contact, and a high finish. Sprays the ball to all fields with a top exit velocity of 83 mph. Showed ability to cover some ground in the field as he ran a laser timed 7.16 60-yd dash. In the infield Hill works slightly around the ball with above average feet and gets into fielding position early. Fields the ball deep with average hands and quick clean exchanges at the waist. Works through the ball and throws with a fuller arm action from a lower three-quarter slot with a top infield velocity of 78 mph. On the mound Hill has a simple and athletic delivery that builds in intensity and keeps a mostly upright posture throughout. Works down the mound with slightly uphill shoulders and lands slightly open. Arm action is full from a high three-quarter slot with late hand acceleration through release. Creates a downward plane on the fastball low in the zone at 75-77 with slight cut. Some downward 11/5 movement on the curveball at 62-63 mph. Average feel for the curveball.

Hill is 5-9 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short load back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a good approach working middle of the field, exit velocity was 74. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a good wide base and above average hands, works through ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters slot, position velocity was 73. Ran a 7.40 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and higher effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and on line, lands open with a fall-off finish. Fastball was 74-76, touching 77, with heavy armside run that gets some depth as well. Curveball had good armspeed and was 64-66 with sharp hard 11/5 break to it, has some shape and chance to be a swing and miss pitch as it tightens.
