Scouting Report
9/23/18 - Kotsis is a thick and strong 5-foot-10 200-pound right handed hitting shortstop and right handed pitcher in the 2020 Missouri class. He runs a 7.25 60 and a 4.62 home to first. At the plate, Kotsis is explosive off of the bat, getting his exit velocity up to 91 mph. He has an athletic set up with a bat wiggle to get to his power position. He has a pull side approach by opening up his front side and has a slightly uphill bat path. On the infield, he is loose and moves well for his size, has good arm action with a high three quarters release point, getting his velocity up to 83 mph across the diamond. On the mound, he has a smooth and compact delivery throwing a fastball at 80-83 mph with some arm side run. He compliments his fastball with three different off speed pitches that he throws for strikes, a changeup, curveball, and knucklecurve. The changeup comes in at 66-69 mph with same arm action as fastball. The curveball has good 12-6 depth at 66-69 mph, the knucklecurve is harder and sharper at 65-71 mph with 1-7 movement.
