No. 5 - Brady House

Scouting Report

4/22/21 - Athletic, strong frame with wide shoulders, strong lower half and room for additional strength. Throws with a short arm action from high-3/4 slot, solid accuracy. Didn't let any go in this game. Hands are average. Projects to shift to third base. Hits from tall set-up. Hands are low, a little dead, but loads back and gets into good launch position. Bat speed is plus, ball explodes off the barrel. Hands are very strong.

3/29/21 - He is off to a scorching start, hitting .638/.750/1.277 in 16 games with nine doubles and seven home runs. That’s 16 of his 30 hits going for extra bases. He’s also rarely seeing anything to hit, drawing 19 walks so far. That makes it tough to scout him in one game, but he was able to get a couple swings off Tuesday, one of which resulted in a home run to right-center field. House’s hands are a bit static in his set-up, but he has tremendous strength and stays extremely short to the ball, making the ball explode off hsi barrel. He was late on a fastball in his second at-bat and flew out, but he generated enough power for it to carry to the wall. In his fourth at-bat, he got a 2-0 fastball and hit a missile to right-center field. It looked like a line drive off the bat, but cleared the wall for a game-tying home run.

6/07/20 - Tennessee commit. A physical specimen at 6-foot-3, 217-pounds, right-handed hitting shortstop, athletically built with strength throughout and the potential to add even more to his frame. Offensively, House has an impressive combination of quickness and strength in his hands, uses his lower half very well to generate power. Everything that comes off his bat comes off loud. Displayed advanced feel and awareness in each at-bat, hits like a professional. Is able to make adjustments from pitch to pitch, and get something he can handle, even if he does get fooled, which rarely happens, he has enough athleticism and strength in his hands to get the barrel on the ball and create hard contact. More times than not, goes after the first pitch he likes early in the count, does not mess around.

2/17/20 - Tennessee commit. Large frame with well developed muscular strength throughout.  Broad shoulder physically ready right now player. Above avg runner. Defensively: plays SS probably a 3b future but don’t get caught napping this kid plays a tough SS.  Very good first step aggressive defender goes to his glove side and backhand with confidence, made a big play on run coming in on a ball for me. Arm is strong and accurate, heads up player. Offensively:  was everything he was hyped up to be. three hits with a double a home run HR, & the opposite field single might have been the most impressive of the three. Well balanced easy down strider shifts weight and really uses the hips to get the hands out front. Quick bat with explosive power and ability to hit to all fields.  Bottom line this guy is ready to go out now and he has another year of HS, exciting player to watch on both sides the game, game changing abilities offensively.
