Loganville v Winder-Barrow (02/17/20)
Daniel Braswell,1B, Loganville, 2021
Georgia commit. Extra large frame 6-foot 4-inch 225-pounds with broad slope shoulders, fully developed strong body with more strength through the hips and quads, lumberjack strength. Below avg runner. Good arm, throws accurately. Defensively the big man moves around easy, has good agility and excellent flexibility. Good understanding how to shift weight around the bag and provides his teammates an extra 6 feet with an outstanding stretch and pick. Plenty of range for 1b, he’s got a good first step on GBs and achieves a very fundamental fielding position with hands extended out front easy vision on hands. He knows how to use that lobster claw. Offensively: well balanced set up and well balanced through swing. Easy stride down, firm front side with strong backside push. Can hit to all fields but prefers to look on the inner half. BIG power, this is the kind of bat you can build a lineup around, rare power and coordination. One of the most imposing hitters I’ve seen this year, strong enough to fight a 2 strike GB through the infield on bad contact and his good contact ball jumps off the bat. Bottom line: physically ready right now player with usable power, should compete to start at the next level.
Ian King, C, Loganville, 2020
South Georgia State commit. Avg frame with good muscular development 5-foot 10, 170-pounds. Avg width slope shoulders muscular build throughout with more strength in the quads. Avg runner Defensively: squats down easy plenty flexible, receives easy plenty of glove range, anticipates and blocks well. Feet work well, good glove to hand with above avg accurate arm to all bases. Offensively: good balanced set up and stays balanced thru swing. Weight is 50/50 throughout swing more of a solid contact spray line drive approach. Good strike zone recognition attacks balls in zone, battles with 2 strikes. Solid catcher should play at the next level.

Dylan Strickland, SS, Loganville, 2020
Georgia Tech commit. Avg frame with proportional muscular development. 5-foot 10, 170-pounds slope shoulders athletic build. Defensively: quick first step shows good range. Aggressive angles to the ball fielding position hands can get deep occasionally but hands play very good. Glove to hand exchange is excellent gives him big play making ability, goes to his back hand with confidence. Offensively: leads off, has good, patient approach, good strike zone recognition. Works count, good ball in play contact with 2 strikes. Overall heads up player with big play abilities defensively.
Brady House, SS, Winder-Barrow, 2021
Tennessee commit. Large frame with well developed muscular strength throughout. Broad shoulder physically ready right now player. Above avg runner. Defensively: plays SS probably a 3b future but don’t get caught napping this kid plays a tough SS. Very good first step aggressive defender goes to his glove side and backhand with confidence, made a big play on run coming in on a ball for me. Arm is strong and accurate, heads up player. Offensively: was everything he was hyped up to be. three hits with a double a home run HR, & the opposite field single might have been the most impressive of the three. Well balanced easy down strider shifts weight and really uses the hips to get the hands out front. Quick bat with explosive power and ability to hit to all fields. Bottom line this guy is ready to go out now and he has another year of HS, exciting player to watch on both sides the game, game changing abilities offensively.
Alpharetta v Roswell (2/19/20)
Caden Long, LHP/OF, Roswell, 2021
5-foot-11 170-pounds. Long took care of the offensive and got the job done on the mount for the Hornets. The crafty lefty was in the strike zone all game. FB was 71-75, with a CB at 64-65. Threw from a ¾ arm slot. Had some run on FB. Forced weak contact, and let his defense work. Really liked the LH swing from Long. Smooth hands, with a quick load and violent finish.
2021 Caden Long (@BaseballRoswell) helps himself out with a BIG time knock to deep right center. Really smooth load and fast hands. @BaseballRoswell takes the lead 2-0. pic.twitter.com/LIVhHVb5z7

Jacob Lassiat, RHP, Alpharetta, 2020
North Georgia commit. 6-foot-3 165-pounds. Long, lanky right handed arm. Quick arm action with an easy delivery. Really gets down the mound and gets on top of the ball. FB was 82-85 with good life. Threw the ball on the inner-half of the plate. SL was effective when he could control it down in the zone at 74-76. Showed the CH a few times at 77-78.
2020 RHP Jacob Lassiat (@AlpharettaBB) and 2021 LHP Caden Long (@BaseballRoswell) are battling it out through 4. Score til tied 0-0.

Woodstock v Milton (2/19/20)
Preston Gunnell, OF, Woodstock, 2021
6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletic frame, proportional build with lean strength throughout, projects to add more as he physically matures, knows how to handle the bat. Offensively, is balanced at the plate, high hands drop smoothly on load to an athletic position, short stride, great balance through contact. Has an aggressive approach at the plate, looks for fastballs early in the count and jumps all over them. Pull-side hitter who has shown the ability to hit for power and contact in the past. Quick, strong hands, flick the barrel through the zone smoothly.
Luke McNeillie, RHP, Milton, 2023
6-foot, 145-pound right-handed pitcher, lean, athletic frame, has plenty of time to continue growing and filling out. Lulls the batter with a slow, controlled tall and fall delivery, long, slow draw on the back-side, accelerates with quick arm speed out front to a ¾ slot, finishes crossing over. Fastball sat 81-83, touched 84 with armside run. Curveball, 67, 11/5 shape, depth, got swing and misses with, worked to all areas of the zone. Good feel for fastball and curveball. Young prospect who has a good foundation for pitching, will be a high follow prospect.
Centennial v Holy Innocents (2/19/20)
William Haberstock, RHP, Centennial, 2020
North Alabama recruit. 6-foot-3, 185 pounds; has gained considerable strength from Summer/Fall. Controlled, repeatable delivery. Arm looks to have shortened up and become more controlled since last time we saw Haberstock. Sat 87-89, T91 with life. Produced considerable amount of swing and misses with FB. SL showed more SLV shape at 72. Sharp, at times. Had an impressive outing and showed steady jump from the Fall.
William Haberstock (@whaberstock29) comes out firing for @CHSKnightsBB. The ‘20 @UNABaseball recruit is sitting 87-89, T91. Strikes out the side in the first with all FBs. Mixing in a 72 mph SL in the second that he picks up a K on. pic.twitter.com/JQCpm58eH7

Greyson Freeman, RHP, Cherokee, 2020
6-foot-3, 180 pounds. Did an impressive job out of the bulpen. Loose frontside, quick short arm action from a H3/4 slot. FB sat 82-84, T85. CB had 11/5 shape at 74 and flashed a CH at 73. Uncommitted arm.

Flowery Branch v North Gwinnett (2/19/20)
Zander Sechrist, LHP, Flowery Branch, 2020
Tennessee commit. 6-foot-2, 165-pound left-handed pitcher, lean, but strong athletic proportional build narrow slightly slopes shoulders. Works out of a ¾ slot with quick, loose arm action.FB 84-87 avg command of two-seam quick AS life. Commanded four seam, down angle, direct. Uses both on both sides of plate. CB 73-76, great command, has true CB depth at slower velos, also shows SL character at higher velos. Sechrist showed an advanced feel for pitching using both sides the plate with both the CB and the FB. He used a two seam FB w/quick arm side life & 4 seem very direct down angle FB. The breaking ball has true CB depth as well as SL character, he throws either in any count with big time confidence. He pitched aggressively to both sides the plate throwing both the FB and CB backdoor and under a righties hands in any count. Great tempo throughout the entire start, this guy has big pitch making ability. He’s not ready to go out right now, velo is light and so is the body, but the key components are firmly in place and he’s a winner. Tennessee is getting a great competitor.
Andrew Armstrong, LHP, Flowery Branch, 2020
Florida State commit. 6-foot-2, 150-pound left-handed pitcher, lean, wiry strength, athletically proportionally built. Low ¾ slot. FB:85-89, mostly 88, scattered command. CB:75-76 with SL character, showed good command of CB. He uses a quick FB with sinking life combined with a more slider character, sweepy CB to keep hitter uncomfortable. He shows a quick high leg kick with a stiff front leg delivery and a long low 3/4 arm angle combined with a two pitch mix he is very effective, FB is a little scattered but can throw strikes when he needs too, better feel for the CB is his bread and butter. Should be tough on left hand hitters, great guy to have in any staff…
Kaleb Freeman, C, Flowery Branch, 2021
Physically strong, good muscular development proportional throughout. Athletic frame, high set waist live bodied catcher. Good arm strength with very good accuracy. Great target sets up low very flexible shifts weight to keep ball between shoulders works to get calls. Outstanding ball blocker anticipates and controls the baseball. Here’s the kicker: GREAT intangibles/ leader. Talks throughout the entire game, heart beat of this team, leads by example blocking with nobody on all night. Tough kid is a difference maker on this squad. Somebody is going to get an old school hard nose catcher that has thunder in his bat as well.
Georgia Premier v P27 Academy (SC) (2/20/20)
Tyler Kennedy, RHP, Georgia Premier, 2021
6-foot-4, 230-pound right-handed pitcher, big, strong frame, advanced strength in lower half. Arm works with some length on the back-side, showing the ball briefly, to a high ¾ slot, quick arm speed. Drop and drive delivery, gets into his strong lower half, works on-line, finishes crossing over. Fastball sat 84-86, touched 87, gets on top and downhill with, can be overpowering at-times. Curveball, 11/5 shape, 69-71, has depth, flashed depth and bite, can get around it sometimes resulting in less life. In a six inning start against P27 struck out 10 batters, scattered four hits, allowed one run, walked two.
Drew Cotten, RHP, P27 Academy, 2022
6-foot-3, 225-pound right-handed pitcher, big, strong frame, sturdy build. Long arm action, full arm swing on the back-side to a low ¾ slot. Started on a cold, chilly night with temperatures dipping into the mid-30s. Fastball sat 79-82 with armside run and sinking action. Breaking ball, manipulated shape between 10/4 and 11/5, 66-73, gained feel for as outing progressed. Struggled early with his command, most likely due to the cold temperature, as he warmed up the feel advanced, generated weak contact and some swing and misses.
Gunnar Erickson, RHP, P27 Academy, 2020
Florence-Darlington JC commit. 6-foot-5, 195-pound right-handed pitcher, long, lanky frame, projectable build, has a ton of room to fill out his frame. Arm works short with quick speed and some effort to a ¾ slot, finishes with recoil. Fastball sat 82-84, touched 85, armside run action. Slider, gets around creating heavy sweeping action at 70-72. In a 2.0 inning relief appearance, struck out four batters and hit two, allowed zero hits.
Ryan Ouzts, RHP/OF, P27 Academy, 2020
Presbyterian commit. 5-foot-10, 185-pound two-way prospect, strength throughout frame, thick lower half. Arm action is short and clean, accelerated quickly with some effort to an over-the-top slot, maintains a strong front-side through release. Fastball sat 83-85, touched 87, armside run and glove-side cut actions. Had better feel for his fastball when he took some off of it. Curveball, 12/6 action. Offensively, has power at the plate, in his second at-bat of the game ripped a double down the left field line, registering a 103 mph exit velocity.
Carter Daniels, RHP, P27 Academy, 2021
Georgia Tech commit. 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, lanky, athletic frame, high-waisted, highly projectable. Works with controlled, demonstrative actions before exploding through release at a low ¾ window, long, loose, arm action. Works on-line, inconsistent with his finish, will end up square at-times, most of the time sweeps his leg through with force, crossing over and falling backwards out towards right field. Saw primarily fastballs, sat 85-87 with life, went right after hitters and challenged them to hit his stuff.
