A trio of seniors. Tennessee commit SS/RHP Brady House has long been considered on the of the top prospects in the country and is a near house hold name at this point. House can literally do it all, and do it all at an extremely high level. He has earned the reputation as a feared power hitter and one of the top defenders in the country. Enough cannot be said about how talented House is and the impact he can have on the game.
Brady House
All of this means that teams know not to give House anything good. This is where C Andreaus Lewis II (2021) and OF/RHP Andrew Lewis III (2021) come into the picture. The Lewis' have strong, powerful bats that can protect House in the lineup and make teams pay for trying to pitch around him.
OUTLOOK
The Bulldogs lost some key pieces to the lineup, but they return the most important piece in Brady House. This team will go as far as House can take them. We detailed in the X-Factor that it will be important in the Bulldog's success to protect House in the lineup. If he is consistently pitched to, this offense will roll.
There are some holes left in the pitching staff. House pitched out of the bullpen and will mostly resume this roll or potentially not pitch at all. The other two arms on the roster with significant experience are Andrew Lewis III and RHP/3B Brooks House (2023), the younger brother of Brady House. Lewis III is a power arm who can pitch into the 90s with a heavy fastball. Brooks House is a promising arm who saw some valuable varsity innings last season. He has the potential to be high velocity arm, already touching velos in the mid-80s.
There is going to be some openings in this lineup and pitching that will need to be filled by inexperienced underclassmen. The season could hinge on their ability to get up to speed as quick as possible. The top of the order and pitching staff will be strong, but can the Bulldogs find the depth. If they can, they will be team to watch in 6A.
