Throughout the West Virginia high school baseball regular season we will be posting a Power 5 in each classification. Updates will be made for Class AAA on Mondays, AA on Tuesdays and A on Wednesdays. Check back frequently at PBR West Virginia to follow team and individual results from the previous week. Today we continue coverage with a look at our Week Six AAA top 5.

Summary:
Hurricane left no doubt as to why they have been sitting at number one. The Redskins went 3-0 and remained unbeaten against in-state competition. The much anticipated showdown with St. Albans proved to be anticlimactic as Hurricane easily handled the Red Dragons 10-3. Chandler Kelly was 4-for-4 with two doubles in the win. His weekly line read 7-for-11, 5 R, 7 RBI. Liam Bailey got the mound win against St Albans giving up two earned runs over six innings. Sophomore Tyler Cox gave up no earned runs in a complete game victory over Spring Valley.

Summary:
Cabell Midland makes a huge jump back into the rankings. A 4-0 week including a 13-0 win over previous number two St Albans, as well as deep talent reflected by the above list of ranked players, justifies the leap to number two. Cabell Midland now sits at 15-5 on the year. Top offensive performers included Griffin Adkins (8-for-13, 7 R, 6 RBI) and Madison Jeffrey (7-for-12, 2 R, 4 RBI). Jeffrey also no-hit St. Albans over five innings while striking out nine in the mercy rule win.
Parkersburg south

Summary:
Parkersburg South moves up to number three on the strength of a 2-0 week which included a hard fought win over previous Power 5 entry Wheeling Park. The bats were booming as Ben Menarchek (4-for-7, 4 R, RBI), Bryce Eagle (5-for-9, 4 RBI, 3 R), Nick Yoho (3-for-5, 2 R, 4 RBI) and Reese Fletcher (3-for-5, 1 R, 4 RBI) showed just how good the Patriot offense can be.

Summary:
The Hawks registered two blowout wins, going undefeated on the week, and extended their season record to 13-7. Ross Mulhall led the charge offensively going 4-for7, scoring three times, and driving home seven. Casey Smith twirled a complete game shutout, striking out eight, in beating Morgantown.

Summary:
St. Albans had a difficult 1-3 week dropping them to number five. They were able to rejuvenate the offense in a late week blowout win over Greebrier East. In that game, Noah Cummings, Casey Kemplin, Nick Loftis, Chayce Matheny and Easton Thewes all homered as the Red Dragons pounded out seventeen hits.
