6/13/17 Brent Carter, 2018 Cabell Midland High School, OF. Carter worked out as OF on this day after having previously being seen as catcher.  A 78 MPH bat exit velocity was achieved with continued use of no stride initiating from a square stance.  A strong athletic frame is present.  Limtied use of lower half with an opposite field approach is noted.  Carter could benefit from achieving better seperation through incorporation of more aggressive hip turn.

Defensively Carter took good routes to baseball.  Jumps were adequate with demonstrated ability to catch ball at it's height..

On mound, RHP, Carter pitches out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action.  Mechanics are repeatable.  FB thrown 79-82 has considerable arm side run and sink.  CB 70-72 with 11-5 shape good depth and sharpness.
  
8/9/15 Carter showcased pop times of 2.19-2.26 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. The 5-foot-11, 140-pound OF/C ran a 7.72 60-yard dash and went 2-for-7 at the plate in game action. The right-handed hits from a wide, square stance with no stride. Carter showcased a 75 mph bat exit velocity and should benefit moving forward from physical maturity and strength gains.
