Scouting Report
Florida recruit. Long-limbed, athletic 6-foot-2, 185 pound frame. Above average runner, 6.85 60-yard dash. Displayed athleticism and quickness in his movements and bat. Plenty of raw power from the left side. Quick and whippy through the zone with good lag in the barrel. Great bat path and good on the inside half. 95 mph exit velocity. Defensively, he has a strong accurate arm at 86 mph with carry, and showed it on two impressive attempts to throw runners out at third, one being successful. On the mound, sat 84-85 with a low effort, quick arm. Impressive pitchability out of a really offensive player, with a good late-breaking slider at 74, the ability to cut the fastball or make it run when he wants, and good command of both sides of the plate.
Florida recruit. 6-foot-2, 175-pound left-handed two-way prospect, lanky frame, wide shoulders, room for continued filling out. Long arm action, shows on the back-side, ¾ slot. Works directionally towards home, landing square, finishes upright. Mainly used running fastball, sat 78-81, located on both sides of the plate, at-times missed up. Offered up a changeup and slider sparingly. Changeup had fade action at 74. Slider, sweeper, 70. Offensively, power bat form the left-side.
Long and strong. Lean and athletic. Good levers. Physical projection. Pull heavy; bat head drops straight down and covers the lower half of the zone exceptionally well. Classic left handed swing path. 90 EV. Length in arms and present strength. Gets really advanced pull power now. Creates impressive loft. Will do damage to right field. Premier power, prototypical corner outfielder. Was intriguing on the mound, where he was 79-80 mph and showed a feel for a curveball and changeup. Committing to Florida shortly after the camp, he has an extremely high ceiling.
Long, lean, athletic and projectable frame Ran a 7.12 60 yard dash. The left handed hitting outfielder has a lot of offensive potential. He uses his long arms and creates leverage. As he continues to fill out and use the lower half you can see there being above average power potential. The swing works and will be one to follow as he continues to get at-bats against high level competition.
