We take a look at some of the players who have stood out over the course of the summer so far here in Ontario for local games and those who have attended events. All players are uncommitted minus 2020 Uconn Commit Calvin Ziegler.
These prospects have turned our PBR scouts heads and are need to know names for college recruiters. Check it all out below.

Drew Howard RHP / SS / All Saints , ON / 2020Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 2
Report: The right-hander has been impressive on the mound while playing sound defensively up the middle. The arm is quick off the hill as Howard works in the 85-87 range and have seen up to 89 this year. The bat has begun to come on as of late and has seen the offensive production spike with a real shot to be a two-way player at a strong junior college. The arm plays with the ability to throw a sharp curveball with downer action and near 12/6 shape. He can stick at SS with glove actions and plenty of arm, the biggest question is will the bat play and if he continues to put together at-bats like he has of late, the answer is yes to a two-way possibility.

Mathew Duffy 3B / RHP / Assumption , ON / 2020Rankings StateRank: 23 / POS: 3
Report: Duffy, a member of our 2017 Future Games team on the mound has really stood out at the plate this summer. Have yet to get a look on the mound as he is getting some work, but the bat from the left side has really played with ability to go pole to pole with barrel control and very minimal swing and miss in league play. In multiple looks, there seems to always be extra bases in the box score for Duffy and looks very comfortable and confident in the box. Lots of hard contact has been the remedy for Duffy this summer, the bat needs serious looks from college coaches.

Hunter Campese LHP / OF / St Joan of Arc, ON / 2020Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 4
Report: Saw recently and the arm is live with one of the more tighter and sharper curveballs in the province. He was up to 86 and lived more in the 83-84 range while battling some command issues with the FB. Didn’t really use his curveball early but when he did snap one off, it was a hard downer in the low 70’s with late fall off the table action. The delivery can be cleaned up but the arm is one of the quickest around with ability to spin it. High ceiling guy who is only going to keep getting better with every inning he gets.

Calvin Ziegler RHP / OF / St. Marys , ON / 2020Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
Report: Has battled some injuries this season but was back on the mound for Ontario youth tryouts and was in fine form, running his fastball into the upper 80’s. Although the mound is where Ziegler project the most, he did help his club team as a right-handed bat that hits with bat speed and juice. Athletic and present strength, along with smooth actions on the mound make the Uconn commit a very intriguing prospect and could be a big help to the Junior National Team this September if he healthy and can bring his arsenal back to the mound. Early signs point towards Ziegler being right on track to do so.

Rowan Radzinski OF / SS / Sinclair , ON / 2020Rankings StateRank: 38 / POS: 5
Report: The left-handed hitting outfielder has one of the more impressive left-handed swings in the 2020 class. An aggressive approach,the bat is quick through the zone with real pop out of the sturdy 5-foot-7 frame. A sub 7.00 runner who profiles as an offensive left-fielder who will hit and hit for extra bases with the ability to leave the yard. The swing has natural lift and does a good job of staying balanced throughout his swing.

Ben Roberts 3B / RHP / Nelson, ON / 2021Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 2
Report: Has been a run producer for his club team with multiple home runs in the past few weeks. Long and lean frame that will fill out and add more strength, he’s shown the ability to drive the ball and cash in runners, and can be a bat from the 21’ class to keep an eye on. Profiles as a corner infielder and will be a member of the Ontario Canada Cup team that looks to repeat as gold medal winners in Saskatchewan this August.

Will Droll LHP / OF / St. Ignatius, ON / 2021Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 2
Report: The lefty out of Thunder Bay impressed both on the mound and with the bat at our FG frenzy. The arm works on the mound as he was 82-83 and could really spin his breaking ball. It comes out the hand with deceiving life on the fastball and was able to get swings and misses with the breaking ball which he used as a put away pitch. He was able to find barrel at the plate in game action with more of a hands approach at the plate. There is tools to work with from Droll and could be a sleeper with the Thunder Bay roots who keeps getting better. A must follow for coaches.

Luca Boscarino C / OF / St. Aloysius Gonzaga, ON / 2021Rankings StateRank: 60 / POS: 9
Report: Boscarino ran an event best 6.70 in the sixty as the catcher, who also sees time in the outfield is a scrappy player who can make things happen on the ball field. Receives well as he’s flexible and does a good job handling his arms and blocking balls in the dirt. It’s not flashy at the platte, but there’s ba to ball skills and will take what he gets. Glue type guy for his club team, Boscarino is a performer on the field with ways to impact the game.

Sam White / N/A, ON / 2022Report: White is a young left-handed hitter with a balanced approach and a swing that plays gap to gap as he worked to stay inside the ball at the FG Frenzy. Young 2022 with a feel to hit, use the whole field and present strength for his age. Makes plays on the dirt and has torched pitchers in the 15u loop this summer. Also one of the top goalies on the ice, White looks to have a bright future in the sports world here in Ontario |
