Roberts, a Great Lake Canadians infielder was impressive on big stages in 2019. The 6-foot-2 185-pound third basemen is strong and has physical actions on the field. At third-base, he works through the ball, comes up tall and throws easily across. As he continues to develop his foot speed, he will be able to cover more ground at the hot corner. The bat works quick and aggressively through the zone. There is power; as seen on numerous occasions in the year. He frequently hits the baseball hard and with improved consistency, he can be a valuable offensive producer at the next level. Recently committed to USC-Upstate.

Roberts, now 6-foot-1, 160-pounds, shows projectable frame that will carry more size as he matures. Long limbs with good body control for age. Upright stance at the plate, narrow feet, separates on time and is ready to hit, slightly downhill bat path, took some swings with bat speed through the zone and showed confidence and feel in the box. Exit velocity of 89 mph above average for age class. Was 75 mph across the diamond from the infield, adequate defender who made all the plays, profiles as a corner guy moving forward. The bat is biggest tool at the moment as he shows advanced feel in the cage and will be one to lock in on early from the 21' class.

Young 2021 grad with lean, projectable frame with long limbs and one of the bigger players in his age group. Ran a clean 7.88 and should become quicker as he gets older. At the plate, hits from the right side with advanced setup, quiet actions and is direct to ball as he generates to contact, feel for the barrel and showed bat speed that is beyond his age with an exit velocity of 81 mph. Easy finish and follow through, comfortable in the box with good hands. Defensively, solid in the infield, showed he could cover ground to both sides, arm would get low at times losing carry on ball, will get quicker as he gets stronger, shows good fundamentals and feel for the left side. Young as a 2021 grad, Roberts shows advanced feel for age and will be one to watch closely as he gets older.
