Team Ohio Future Games Spotlight: Cade Pipoly, MIF/OF
July 27, 2015
By Dylan Hefflinger
Ohio Editor in Chief/NW Scout
On July 30th through August 1st, PBR Ohio will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent Ohio at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.
Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Class: 2017
Height/Weight: 5-foot-11, 170 pounds
High School: Walsh Jesuit
Summer Team(s): Northern Ohio 17u/Phenom Nike Signature
Past Showcase/In-Game Performances:

Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 172-pound athletic frame. From the infield, he displays athletic foot work but had a tendency to stop his feet on ground balls hit at him and can improve by playing through the baseball as he does when ground balls are hit to his glove side. He uses a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot and reached a top velocity of 81 mph on his throws. Shows advanced skills at the plate. The right-handed hitter starts open and gets to even. Hands really work with a short, compact swing. Flat path with power to the pull side and 83 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.01-60.
Date: 7/29/14
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 165 pound athletic build. A very good athlete that can play multiple positions. In the infield his hands and feet work well together with plus arm strength at 79 mph especially for his age. His second position is behind the plate. Cade shows good arm strength from a high-¾ slot and with good mobility behind the plate with pop times between 2.20-2.30. Right-handed hitter with a good flat swing that produces line drives and able to spray it all over the field. His top exit velocity was 87 mph and was 4.51 home to first. His athleticism will give him the opportunity to play multiple positions.
Thoughts on being selected to play in PBR's Future Games and representing the great state of Ohio: "Attending the Future Games and playing for Team Ohio is an honor and privilege. I am very excited to show that I can compete with the best in the 2017/2018 classes and prove that I can play at the next level in college."
How has PBR helped as far as recruiting and exposure: "Since attending the Underclass games last year things really started to pick up for me from several schools. Which also grew even more after attending the TPG games this summer. Also getting the chance to play for Ohio at the UA is going to be great."
