Division III District: Archbold vs Lake - 5/25/19
Kade Kern OF / RHP / Archbold, OH / 2020Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 5
Report: 6-0, 185-pound with athletic frame. One of the more dynamic talents in the state. Toolsy prospect (6.78 60, 90 OF velo, 100 exit velo). Intent driven swing. Has been mashing all spring. In this game, the CF blased a home run to left center and a triple to right center while also making an outstanding defensive play. Impressive looking prospect who's committed to Ohio State. Game Performance: 3-4, 1B, 3B, HR, 4 RBIs |
Jeron Williams SS / RHP / Archbold, OH / 2019Rankings StateRank: 306 / POS: 49
Report: 6-0, 155-pound SS/RHP. One of my favorite athletes in the area. Uber-competitive. Good glove skills in the field with above average arm for the position. Came in relief on the mound, showcasing that competitiveness. Good PG in basketball. Would be great late get for a program. Pitch Repertoire: |
Division IV District: Antwerp vs Montpelier - 5/24/19
Luke Krouse LHP / OF / Antwerp, OH / 2022Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 2
Report: 6-0, 170-pound left-handed pitcher with athletic build. High-3/4 slot. Super loose, whippy arm on the mound. Two-way prospect. At the plate he starts in an athletic setup before using a double tap for timing. Balanced launch before showing a nice, level path through the zone. Whippy swing that plays to both sides of the field. One to watch. Pitch Repertoire: Curveball: 69-72 mph. 1/7 shape. |
Aurora vs Benedictine - 5/22/19
Will Carpenter SS / 2B / Aurora, OH / 2020Rankings StateRank: 29 / POS: 3
Report: Penn State commit that stood out with the hit tool on this day. Aggressive swinger from the left side that is looking to attack early in the count. Movements are fluid and swing is level with some natural loft to it. Showed the ability to turn on the baseball multiple times, recording two line drive base hits. |
Turpin vs Lakota East - 5/21/19
Nathan Haberthier RHP / 1B / Lakota East, OH / 2020Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 11
Report: Haberthier was impressive as he attacked hitters all game. His fastball sat 87-91 in the first, but he would settle down to a cool 85-88 mph most of the game. His CB was at 72-75 with tight spin at times, but he doesn't attack with it as much as he could. Oversteps his body slightly so you have to assume there is a few more mph in the tank for him. Reminds me a lot of Andrew McDonald, former Mason and Va. Tech RHP due to size and projectablity. As he continues to add meat to his frame, look for more velo to come. |
North Canton Hoover vs Massillon Perry - 5/21/19
Brody Ware RHP / SS / North Canton Hoover, OH / 2019Rankings StateRank: 29 / POS: 11

Ware threw a complete game, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and striking out 7 as Hoover defeated Perry and advances to the District Final game. Ware showed dominance on the mound during his entire performance. His fastball was sitting 86-88, curveball was 72-73, and changeup was 78-80. |
South Range vs Youngstown Ursuline - 5/20/19
Jacob Gehring RHP / 3B / South Range, OH / 2021Report: Gehring had a record-breaking night on the mound for South Range. The 2021 RHP committed to Ohio State had a dominant complete game performance for the Raiders. His fastball was sitting 88-89, curveball was 68-70, and changeup was 73-75.
