Fall Underclass Games: Corner Infield Analysis

For the fifth year, Prep Baseball Report - Missouri/Kansas held the Fall Underclass Games in Manhattan, Kansas at Kansas State University. Nearly 50 players from Missouri and Kansas participated in the 2021 and 2020 classes.
Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on the ScoutPlus dashboard.
Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velocities, and videos. Today will take a closer look at the corner infielders from the event. Players are listed in alphabetical order below.

Blake Andersen RHP / 1B / Olathe East, KS / 2020Andersen is a long legged 6-foot-2 173-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2020 class. He ran a 7.50 60 and a 4.81 home to first. He has a 76 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts open, smooth rhythm in load, slight hand load, fast bat and aggressive bat speed, gap to gap contact, occasional pull side power, solid consistent contact during batting batting practice, loose hands, ripled to right center in game action. Dominic Bainter 1B / OF / Hays , KS / 2021Bainter is an athletically built 5-foot-9 150-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.53 home to first. He has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with an open stance, short and controlled stride, minimal hand load, short to the ball, hands control the barrell, aggressive hitter, gap to gap approach, hard single up the middle in game action. On the infield, 65 mph positional velocity, smooth actions, fluid footwork to the ball, clean exchange, short high three quarters release, quick catch and throw, accurate throws. |
Brady Beverman 3B / RHP / Olathe South, KS / 2021Beverman is a well built 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 8.03 60 and a 5.16 home to first. He has a 78 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth and controlled load to back side, short in line stride, loose hands, quick bat speed, gap to gap line drives during batting practice, showed feel for the barrel in game action, singled to each gap and tripled to left center. On the infield, 72 mph across the diamond, 71 mph positional veto at first base, three quarters release, controlled and fluid actions, clean transfer, fields ball in athletic position, mostly accurate throws. |
Benjamin Bryan C / RHP / Blue Springs South, MO / 2021Bryan is a strong bodied 6-foot 202-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 7.69 60 and a 4.90 home to first. He has a 79 mph exit velo. At the plate, start open, quick in line stride, hands separate from stride, flashed power to pull side, swing produced mostly middle and pull side line drives, quick bat speed, doubled twice in game action to center field.
