Mitchael Casement: C/RHP, (2021) Maize, KS. 5-foot-10, 205-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 82 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a quick stride to initiate his swing. Has above average bat speed, simple swing plane and high finish. He found a few barrels through his round. Pull side approach. Behind the plate, produced pop times of 2.00-2.01, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 73 mph; has developing feet, firm hands and a natural exchange. Some flexibility and wide setup.Had an-over-the-top slot with a short arm action. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 8.26. Solid on the mound, has some arm speed and an over-the-top arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Has strong balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Sat with his fastball at 76-78; had running action. His curveball (67-69) has some action. He has in the zone accuracy on changeup (71-72).

Casement is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’2021 class. During batting practice, minimal load, in line stride, high finish with hands, showed primarily pull side contact during round, exit velocity of 78 mph. Behind the plate, Casement has a balanced set up, fluid footwork, over the top release, positional velo of 71 mph, mostly accurate throws, pop times between 2.08 and 2.15 seconds. On the mound, Casement works primarily from the stretch, some rhythm to delivery, controlled leg lift, good direction, clean arm action, high three quarter release, repeats with downhill tilt. Fastball sits 74-77 mph, slight arm side run, thrown for a high percentage of strikes, changeup is 66 mph, some fading action, near fastball arm speed, curveball is 64-66 mph, 11-to-5 shape with downward action.

2/16/19 – Casement is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound catching and right-handed pitching prospect in Kansas’ 2021 class. At the event, he ran an 8.26 60 yard dash and posted an exit velocity of 84 mph. During hitting evaluations, Casement showed contact to the middle of the field, starts with an athletic base, minimal load, some rhythm with hands, in line stride, remains balanced throughout. Defensively behind the plate, starts in an athletic position, clean transfers, over the top arm slot, over the top arm slot, positional velo of 72 mph, pop times between 2.08 and 2.28 seconds, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Casement shows a simple delivery, strides across his body, repeats for the most part, clean arm action, over the top arm slot, accelerates down the mound, regular effort, minimal head movement and repeatable delivery, fastball is 74-77 mph, occasional cut, changeup is 57-61 mph with some cut, near fastball arm speed, breaking ball is 50-56, sharp bite at times, 12-to-6 action.

10/20/18 - Casement is a 5-foot-10, 75-pound right-handed hitting catcher and corner infielder in Kansas’ 2021 class out of Wichita. At the event he ran a 8.15 second 60 yard dash, 4.71 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 83 mph. During batting practice, Casement shows a simple, compact and repeatable swing, hard line drives to the middle of the field, athletic stance, level bat path, showed feel for the barrel. Defensively on the infield, Casement attacked the baseball, showed clean transfers, high three-quarter arm slot, positional velocity of 70 mph, accurate throws. Behind the plate, he has an athletic set up, clean transfers, longer arm action, pop times between 2.19 and 2.27 seconds, positional velocity of 71 mph, mostly accurate throws.

10/22/17 - Casement is a 5-foot-8 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 8.42 60 and a 5.65 home to first.  He has an exit velocity of 71 mph. At the plate, starts with wide stance, small stride with minimal load, some lift to swing path, mostly middle to pull side contact during batting practice.  Behind the plate, 2.20 to 2.47 pop times, 65 mph positional velo, short over the top release, momentum through the catch with back side, soft hands, fluid footwork and exchange. On the infield, 69 mph positional velocity, quick catch and throw, aggressive to the ball, high three quarters release, mostly accurate throws.
