1/26/19 - Milstead is a 6-foot 162-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and first baseman in Kansas’ 2020 class. He ran a 4.37 home to first and had a 72 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, smooth pre-pitch rhythm, controlled leg lift, slight lift in bat path, stays in back leg, middle to pull side contact during hitting evals.  In the outfield, over the top arm slot, stays under control, works through the ball with footwork, clean exchange, 72 mph positional velocity. At first base, 69 mph positional velocity, over the top arm slot, stays under control to the ball, clean exchange, fields ball out front, accurate throws.

2/24/18 - Milstead is a 6-foot 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 4.12 home to first and has a 78 mph exit velocity. At the plate, wide stance, quick tempo with leg lift to slightly open stride, stays in lower half, feel for the barrel, swing produced middle to pull side contact during hitting evals.  In the outfield, 71 mph positional velocity, over the top release, gains ground with feet after the catch, fluid actions to the ball with clean exchange and transfer, clean arm action. On the mound, Milstead has some deception in tempo and mechanics, lifts leg up and down on same plane, separates with in line stride and slight increase in tempo, arm works with an over the top release, fastball at 68-71 mph, will work glove side, curveball at 58-59 mph, 12-to-6 action, change up at 67-60 mph, throws with fastball arm speed.

10/22/17 - Milstead is a long-legged 6-foot 150-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 4.85 home to first and a 7.71 60.  He has an exit velocity of 74 mph.  At the plate, starts in a wide base, controlled load to back side, short stride, gap to gap approach, natural lift in swing, singled to both gaps in game action.  At first base, 71 mph positional velocity, over the top arm slot, short arm circle, athletic actions, soft hands, accurate throws. On the mound, Milstead has a lean and athletic frame, over the top release, controlled delivery, in line stride, occasional downhill tilt, commands fastball to both sides of the plate, 69-71 mph, mostly to bottom of the zone, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, sharp action when he stays on top, 54-58 mph.
